In a flavorful and heartwarming event poised to make a significant difference, Budimas Charitable Foundation celebrated World Food Day by not only savoring the importance of food but also by dishing out nutritious dinners to over 170 underprivileged children.
This event, graced by esteemed dignitaries including Tunku Yaacob Khyra, Chairman of The Budimas Charitable Foundation, and Anne Rajasaikaran, Principal Officer of The Budimas Charitable Foundation, was definitely a night of inspiration, unity, and compassion.
Prominent corporate entities such as Alstom Transport and Sunway Velocity joined hands with the foundation, along with special guests and the beloved children from homes and villages including Rumah Kanak-Kanak Triniti, Yayasan Hiichiikok, Rumah Kasih Harmoni, Paya Jaras, Rumah Bakti Dato' Haron, The Budimas Orion Home, Kampung Orang Asli Bukit Bangkong, and Kampung Orang Asli Tanjung Sepat.
The event commenced with an uplifting opening speech by Ms. Anne Rajasaikaran, who eloquently emphasized the importance of food in children's lives.
Tunku Yaacob Kyra, Chairman of The Budimas Charitable Foundation, echoed these sentiments in his inspiring speech, reinforcing the commitment to ensuring that every child has access to a nutritious meal daily.
The evening featured a delicious dinner served to over 170 underprivileged children, offering them not just a meal but a moment of togetherness and joy.
The Budimas Blind Taste Challenge added an exciting twist as children were given food blindfolded and had to guess the healthy food they were consuming, making nutrition education engaging and fun.
The children received free food and educational packs to brighten their lives and empower them with knowledge as a further gesture of care,
The event culminated with the presentation of tokens of appreciation to the invited homes and kampung orang asli, recognizing their invaluable contributions to the cause.
