Time flies and I have already own the new Galaxy A54 5G for more then a month now… The Galaxy A54 5G is a mid-range smartphone, but it does feel and look pretty premium to me…
The Galaxy A54 5G comes with Gorilla Glass 5 covering the front and back of the phone…
The Galaxy A54 5G also adopts a similar design to the premium Galaxy S series: where the cameras at the back of the phone are elevated, looks quite stylish
Being a content creator on the go, it means a lot to me to know that the Galaxy A54 5G comes with an IP67 water and dust protection rating, which is means it can survive being dipped in up to 1 meter of freshwater for up to 30 minutes….
You have a variety of colors a light green (lime) and a cheerful purplish (violet) version, a white model and a classic black graphite (which I own now…and which is what you are seeing in the photos).
The Galaxy A54 5G comes with a matte plastic frame, which is solid and feels sturdy and comfortable in hand. The SIM card/microSD card slot and a microphone can be found at the top of the phone while the volume rocker and power button is found on the right side of the phone….
At the bottom part of the Galaxy A54 5G, you can find the USB-C port, the main Dolby Atmos-tuned speaker, and another pair of microphones.
The speakers of the Galaxy A54 5G sound excellent and can produce a rich sound without distortion at higher volume levels. The speakerphone quality is pretty great and the phone calls sound sharp on the Galaxy A54 5G, regardless of which speaker I use.
The Samsung Galaxy A54 5G is sports an absolutely stunning 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display refreshing at 120Hz. Don't let the 1080p resolution fool you — this is an excellent panel where the colors almost seem to jump off the screen.
Samsung has turned the saturation level all the way up on the Galaxy A54 5G and because of that, when you are playing games like "Pokemon Go" it looks really brilliant and awesome. Even watching your favorite K-dramas on Netflix is pretty amazing experience
At 1000 nits, the Galaxy A54 5G's display gets plenty bright, and I had zero issues seeing it in direct sunlight. The Galaxy A54 5G has an 82.9% screen-to-body ratio, with a flagship-quality panel, and I actually cannot stop admiring the screen and its vibrant colours each time I unlocked the phone.
The Galaxy A54 5G runs on Android 13 with One UI 5.1 out of the box. Samsung has definitely improved their software a lot over the last few years — One UI 5.1 is clean, well-optimized, and intuitive. it is also sleek and modern without being hampering performance. The animations are smooth, and I really like how well Android 13 runs here.
The Galaxy A54 5G runs on the new Exynos 1380 processor which results in higher benchmark scores and, much more improved real-world performance.
The 5,000mAh battery in the Galaxy A54 5G is the same size as last year's but with slightly better performance.
The Galaxy A54 5G comes with three rear cameras: a main camera with a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide, and a 5MP macro lens, while on the front you get a 32MP camera.
Taking photos in good lighting are sharp, with good color and deep contrast. The main sensor manages to capture intricate details in images in direct sunlight without blowing them out.
Selfies taken with from the A54's 32MP front camera are also surprisingly crisp. I was pretty delighted with the performance in portrait mode for both the front and back cameras. Processing was done quickly, and edge detection was fairly accurate.
The only weakness you probably find on the Galaxy A54 5G is its night photography. In low light, the photos might seem a little noisy. But then again you can get a fairly decent image if you are not looking into detail. It is definitely an improvement from the previous year’s night photography!!!
As a content creator, I have to take videos from time to time.. The Galaxy A54 5G video quality is pretty cool and clear with better stabilization in 4K footage and more realistic colors….I did test the phone in a waterproof casing to protect it from the briny water when I took it underwater to the glorious underwater life of Semporna… (check out the tiktok link below)

I am definitely loving the Samsung Galaxy A54 5G and recommend it to anyone looking for a great mid range phone!!!
