The milestone event saw both parties entering a partnership which will showcase SUKE TV’s content on iQIYI’s platform for viewers in Malaysia and Singapore. Suke TV will be the only TV channel in Malaysia with a dedicated tab on the iQIYI platform. The content will be made free and exclusive to iQIYI users.
iQIYI subscribers can view SUKE TV-produced content such as Polkadot, Berita Latah, Tanya Je, Tomey Tomey, DAC PM YOU, DurianKimchi, Makan Tepi Lori, Pin Pin Sapa Tu?, Listen Up, and Odah Billionaire.
Via the alliance with iQIYI, SUKE TV content will be available exclusively on iQIYI for both Malaysian and Singaporean users who now can catch up on the content for free. SUKE TV will establish its stature in Singapore, reaching a wider audience and expanding its prowess across borders and shores.
“SUKE TV is excited for this partnership with iQIYI and at the prospect of expansion beyond Malaysia. This collaboration is timely, with the recent post-pandemic growth in streaming services bringing forth an unprecedented diversification of content across genres. I am positive that via this cooperation, both parties will employ their strengths, technology and expertise to bring in relevant and engaging content for its viewers. This is the beginning of a new era for SUKE TV, and we look forward to further developing and diversifying our content offerings with iQIYI,” said Dato' AC Mizal, chairman of SUKE TV.
“Content has become more accessible to audiences of all tiers around the world with the advancement of technology and analytics. This exclusive partnership with SUKE TV further solidifies the shared aim of both parties to provide high-quality local content, showcasing the best of Malaysian entertainment to its viewers. iQIYI is thrilled to collaborate with SUKE TV, and we look forward to the fresh and engaging content this partnership will bring to iQIYI’s platform,” said Dinesh Ratnam, iQIYI Country Manager for Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei.
SUKE TV has taken the local entertainment scene by storm since its official broadcast in April earlier this year. With a plethora of innovative content across various genres, the network continues to expand viewership across the country with a growing lineup of family-friendly programming ranging from comedies, dramas, and more.
iQIYI happens to be Malaysia’s #1 most downloaded freemium video app in 2021 with over 10 million downloads. It is also the fastest growing streaming service in the country with a user base growth of 15 times in the span of two years. The platform provides a wide range of premium drama series, movies, variety shows, and anime with local languages and subtitles to audiences across 191 countries and territories.
