After having been, well, what feels like locked up/lock down for ages... Most of us need a change of environment... I, for one, am such a person who needs a change of environment from time to time to refresh myself and to control my stress levels and indulge in boosting my serotonin levels...
So when all those pesky but necessary restrictions had been somewhat relaxed, most of us are definitely more than thrilled to get out of the house... After all, what can be more pleasing to the senses when you are treating yourself to a little pampering? After all, in life, we have to start with loving ourselves first before loving others....
So, how can we have a safe holiday during this time? My suggestion, other than following all the guidelines as instructed (follow SOPs, wear your face masks, and add on a face shield if you are somewhere with more people.. make sure you don't have any fever, cough or any symptoms, and of course, keep your distance from other people when outside, be sure to wash your hands as frequently as possible or sanitise them frequently...) go for a staycation....
Having a staycation does not mean having to go too far, if you are like me stay in Kuala Lumpur, there are ample of trendy, classy or even pretty cool hotels to check in to and check out...
I always love a staycation, and can never say no to if it is with my closest friends.. We are close to each other and normally only hang out with each other while continuing to observe some social distancing.. And it gives us time to catch up with each other over dinner and breakfast and lunch while also appreciating our own privacy...
I have been to a variety of hotels.. From budget stays to five-star stays and each stay allows me to create great new memories..
Some of my favorite places for a staycation in Kuala Lumpur would be Hilton Kuala Lumpur, FourPoints By Sheraton Chinatown, Aloft Kuala Lumpur, Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, Majestic Kuala Lumpur, Indie Hotel and so on...
Every hotel is unique in its own way, some are classics, some are downright fun and trendy, some nature-themed, a lot of other fun themes (Renaissance french themed, prison-themed, Balinese themed etc...) or some which are just exclusive and posh namely St Regis KL, Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur, W Kuala Lumpur, The Ruma, Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur etc..
I love nothing more than nice clean fresh sheets on a cosy comfy bed... Then a nice clean shower and perhaps if am lucky, a nice bathtub to soak in with some Lush bubble bars or bath bombs... How about comfy plush dressing robes to tuck yourself into after a nice warm shower...
It is also pretty fun working out in the hotel's fitness centre or just find time to soak yourself in the hotel's swimming or dipping pool...
Whatever it is, now is the time to travel and help revive our local tourism while indulging yourself with your ideal KL Staycation , so be sure to check it out and find one that suits what you want...
And when we can finally start travelling across state borders I know I have a few places on my wish list in Penang, Terengganu, Johor, Melaka, Perak and of course, the magnificent islands of Sabah etc...
And among all these would be the plush and private Pangkor Laut Resort .. It is the place your best unforgettable adventures and sweetest dreams are made of....
So what is on your bucket list and where do you want to go for your staycations...
