With the success of the previous Rapid KL Support Lokal, a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative launched last year to help Malaysians affected by the Covid-19 outbreak, Rapid KL has launched their Rapid KL Support Lokal 2.0 in a bid to help food operators and small food businesses by allowing them to set up stalls for passengers to shop for food for the breaking of fast at eight Light Rail Transit (LRT) stations, beginning next Tuesday....
Launched by Prasarana Malaysia Berhad acting president and group chief executive officer Datin Hajah Norlia Noah, the Ramadan bazaars will be held at the Putra Height, Glenmarie, Kelana Jaya, Pandan Indah, Cempaka, Damai, Gombak and Bangsar LRT stations and is Rapid KL's initiative to help small food businesses generate some income as well as fulfill the needs of city dwellers hard pressed for time in preparing meals for breaking fast during the fasting month....
It is said that there will be about 300 stalls spread out at each of the selected stations...
During the campaign, Rapid KL's social media team will also be giving free promotions for the traders on Rapid KL’s social media platform...
We had a chance to meet up with about 10 traders - Mok ti's, Qadra Kebab, Dapur Hasnah, Pak Syed Nasi Kuning, Strawberry Shots, Botoi Teh Thai, Sky Pastries and Kantin Pramugara which are also participating in the ‘Rapid KL Support Lokal 2.0’ at the Lembah Subang LRT station during the launch where they also got to promote and showcase their food products...
Anyway, Kudos Rapid KL for this great initiative to help the petty food traders get on their feet...
