Food Review 2020 - All Tuna fish course menu at Iketeru, Hilton Kuala Lumpur




I was over at Iketeru at the Hilton Kuala Lumpur recently with one of my close friends where we got to bear witness to a special demonstration by Japanese Executive Chef Masami Okamoto....




Chef Okamoto showed us his intricate skills of cutting a massive 30kg fresh deep-sea tuna....



It definitely was interesting listening to Chef Okamoto explaining the various parts of the tuna like otoro, chu-toro and more, as he worked through the process...


My friend and I were at awe along with other diners as Chef Okamoto carved and filleted the humongous tuna...


He then sliced it for our Sashimi tasting session in between action... My close friend who never tried sashimi before actually enjoyed savouring the freshly cut tuna sushi which was truly a unique Japanese dining experience... 



Once the filleting is done, diners got to try the freshly-cut fish.... 




Then came the set menu that featured the merry combination of Tuna Sumiso Sauce, Tuna Sashimi, Tuna Belly Soup, Teppanyaki Tuna with Truffle Teriyaki Sauce, Tekka Don with Miso Soup and Deep fried tuna with Spicy Miso Dip and more.





The set dinner is priced at RM480 nett per adult inclusive of free flow red wine, white wine, juices and soft drinks and at RM300 nett per adult for food only. 




There were definitely a lot of instagram-able moments as well as Iketeru is a pretty restaurant perfect for picturesque shots...
