Malaysia Women Marathon 2019 /MWM2019

The Malaysia Women Marathon (MWM2019) marks its 7th year establishment and is once again organize

d by Tourism Selangor for this year!!!

MWM2019 is considered to be one of the major events of Selangor as International runners will also be swarming this sporting event....

Held in conjunction with International Women Day, it is the only endorsed Women Marathon in South East Asia...

And for fans of fun runs, races and marathons, there are many who love collecting race t shirts as well as medals... 

This year MWM2019 had teamed up with one of Malaysia’s highly regarded artist Habsah Abang Saufi* to encapsulate the theme an “Ode to Women”.... 

Habsah's painting from a series of her work called “Wanita” was used for MWM2019 event t-shirt.... and MWM2019 hope this theme will recollect their stand towards an issue that MWM2019 is proud to be associated with, Gender Equality...

And well, if that isn’t exciting enough, the MWM2019 team has collaborated with Swarovzki Malaysia to produce a medal with embellished crystals from Swarozvki!!!! These medals are one of a kind and can even be used as a brooch... Personally I cant wait to get my hands on these medals!!! 

Though we included these extra plush entitlement, we are also introducing a No frills package for participants whereby they can opt to have the least entitlement for a cheaper registration fee. Check it out....

Besides the MWM2019, there will be 2 days of activities before the main event, from 28th February to 1st March... such as a women expo, cultural dance performance, stage performance, booth exhibition and many more.. 

Tourism Selangor will also showcase a special promo price package to Kuala Selangor consisting of tourists hotspots such as Sky Mirror, Bukit Malawati, activities at Sekinchan , seafood dinner at Pasir Penambang and fireflies at Kampung Kuantan....

And oh, for full marathon runners... we have news... participants during the race can opt to complete their run at 30km if they feel uncertain of finishing the entire marathon... Yes you heard it, you can stop at 30km if you intend too wherein, you will still receive your entitlement (if you have opted for it) though your certificate will indicate your completion for a shorter distance....
