So yours truly was one of the lucky selected bloggers who got to join the Guardian Malaysia’s Wellness Retreat held in conjunction with Guardian Malaysia's 51st anniversary...
The Philea Resort & Spa was a beautiful log cabin accommodations resort surrounded by woods in Ayer Keroh, a 30-minute drive from Melaka... and 2 hours from Kuala Lumpur...
When we arrived, we were given a welcome drink and ushered to our first event at the Nusantara room where we were warmly welcomed by Guardian Malaysia’s head of skincare, Ms Sheryn Soo
and given a safety briefing by hotel representative...

We were then asked to choose our choice of shampoo and conditioner from Pantene and had to introduce ourselves and answer a question pertaining the type of shampoo we took...
Then we were told to guess the amount of BioEssence products which were in a jar....
This was followed by a sumptuous buffet lunch at the Cravo2 before we were given the keys to our room
My roomie, the gorgeous Aliza Sara and I were given the log cabin on the ground floor of a 2 storey Pavilion Villa consisting of 4 units of log cabins... and we quickly settled in after some squeals of delight and admiring our gorgeous log cabin inspired room..
..and the little goodie bag of Guardian Malaysia goodies left on our beds

Later in the afternoon, we headed to the Chill Out Foyer for 'The Story of Oil Garden'
Then we got ready and boarded the bus to Encore Melaka just in time to admire the sunset before heading to the Admiral Event Hall for a little challenge which was to make up with the few little products available on the table and take a photo for ‘An Evening To Impress’ with L’Oreal & Maybelline...
Dinner was then served and we tucked in heartily before we were taken to the theatre hall to watch Encore Melaka...
Encore Melaka is a must watch 70-minute long mega show that recounts long forgotten tales : stories of the early voyagers, legacy of Cheng Ho's diplomatic mission, how the Babas and Nyonyas came to be, and so on...
Directed by Wang Chaoge, the creative woman force behind the 2008 Beijing Olympics Games Opening Ceremony, Encore Melaka introduces Southeast Asia's first performing arts theatre with a 360-degree rotating audience platform that face a 240 metre-long stage in a gorgeous geometric theatre made out of fish scale-like LED panels that reflect the ever changing and vibrant sky of Melaka...
I love the compelling songs and dances that reflects a society embracing diversity and inclusiveness...

When the theatre was over, we all took a picture with the cast and then headed back to the bus and back to the hotel rooms....
Early the 2nd day we were up bright and bushy tailed for our morning workout with the gorgeous Joanna Soh, a fitness influencer and fitness youtuber at the Piazza before we headed for breakfast...
This was followed by a Health & Wellness 101 session with Joanna Soh at the Chill Out Foyer..where we were then taught and told to create our own Edible Terrarium using products from Nature's Heart...
When the event finished, we went back to our rooms to freshen up and check out before heading over to the Bayu Cabana for a Refreshing session with the new popular Korean brand April Skin... This included creating your own flower crown activity...
Then we headed back to Cravo2 for lunch...
And ended the Guardian Malaysia’s Wellness Retreat with the Guardian Anniversary Beauty Bash with
a ‘Quickie’ with Nivea Deo & Men, where we were surprised with the appearance of two celebrities, the lovely Ainul Aisyah and also the dashing Daler Yusuf who willingly posed with us for photos...
Then we had to guess the product for the Dove DermaSeries Dry Skin Relief from a little piece of paper given withna poem written on it...
The next dare was to try out Hada Labo's products by cleaning our face with some Guardian make up remover and applying the products...
Then we were made to play a game of musical chairs with a pouch of SilkyGirl make up and where the last 5 rounds of participants were told to use the products while circling the chairs... and finally.. it was a sad good bye before we all headed back to KL and real life....
