Datuk Seri Bung Mokhtar Radin, chairman of FELCRA Berhad chairman, said the FELCRA WADIRA Transformation Plan 2018-2022 outlined major implementations which will cover areas of women's entrepreneurship, management, healthcare, children’s education, membership and others.
A total of RM830,000 worth of funding grants will be allocated by FELCRA Berhad, so that WADIRA units involved will be receiving about RM10,000 for carrying out community and socio-economic development activities...

Datin Seri Rosmah also urging for a nursery to be established at every FELCRA office nationwide for early childhood education at their work place which would enhance women’s productivity.
When we met up and spoke with FELCRA Berhad's dynamic Regional Head, Dato Dr Najmil Faiz Mohamed Aris, he told us that WADIRA was established back in 1979 to initiate projects in the FELCRA villages as a link between the family members and the FELCRA Berhad management. WADIRA members consists of housewives who are then assisted and trained by WADIRA in helping to supplement the family income..
Most WADIRA members are dedicated in producing kelulut (stingless bee) honey, handicrafts, bread and pastry, as well as tailoring...
When asked on what his biggest challenge was, Dato Dr Najmil Faiz said that it was because some of the WADIRA members live pretty much far away from towns deep in plantations etc and it was hard getting them to come out or hard for these ladies to do online businesses when they hardly had any telephone lines and such..
The two day convention at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) had some pretty interesting booths with products offered by the FELCRA Women Entrepreneurs nationwide.
