Yours truly was over at House of Love, a home for orphans, abused,
abandoned and neglected children on invitation from Concorde Hotel Shah Alam..
The hotel team of 15 people gathered at the hotel lobby and
departed to the home situated in Klang by a coach sponsored by Metro Limo.
The team then arrived at the Home and was welcomed by the founder,
Mr Joseph Pang and the other caretakers as well as the residents who were
between 4 and 16 years old.
The hotel team were already at the Home the day before to set up
the gorgeous Christmas tree..
The event then began with a welcome speech from Mr Joseph Pang and
a tour of the Home… it was quite sad seeing the kids live there, yet also a
relief as Mr Joseph Pang and his caretakers actually try to make up for the
children’s loss by being their ‘parents’ and lavishing love on them as well as
teaching the kids right from wrong and teaching them all about family values…
Ms Amilia Alias, Director of Sales and Marketing, handed out
little handmade personalized wishing stars to the residents where they hung on
the beautiful Christmas Tree decorated beautifully and sponsored by Concorde Hotel
Shah Alam.
Mr Patrick Ng litted up the Christmas Tree and then gave the House
of Love a 40’’ LED Television…
The excitement continued with the cupcake decorating activity
where Chef Alham Ahmad Daldiri demonstrated to the kids how to design, layer
and decorate their cupcake and the residents all got to try their hand at
decorating their own… the best 3 decorations were given a small prize…
Chicken Rice which were specially prepared by the hotel kitchen
team and drinks were then served to the kids as they were entertained by both
the Batak Band performance and Bobo the Clown….
The kids all also received Christmas Goodies before the visit ended
with a group photography session… it is always such an event that remind us how
lucky we are and also how we should help those in need whenever we can….
Thank you Concorde Hotel Shah Alam for having me over… my daughter
learned a few lessons there too..
