Christmas Charity Event for the Underprivileged Kids

The Christmas season or any festive season for that matters is always a great time to start thinking about helping other people. This includes providing food, clothing and toys for families to enable them to experience the joy of the Christmas Season. Giving warmth, love and hope. That’s what Christmas should be all about. Christmas and other festive seasons is after all a time to share our good fortune with our neighbours or those in need. And when we do that, it is also the time to reflect on how we can make those in need a little happier, and learn to be grateful for what we have, and to share a little of what we have to those in need..

So yours truly was over at the Grand Seasons Hotel where they held their CSR activity with both the Rumah Kebajikan Anak Yatim Mary and also the Rumah Charis Christian kids…

The 55 kids that attended were aged between 3 to 12 years old age.. they were first treated to some sumptuous food, from yummy anchovy fried rice, friend noodles, fried chicken and Christmas cookies and cakes…

Then the kids were entertained with a magic show, a clown performance with plenty of fun games and were given Christmas presents by a very hip hop Santa Claus…

It has become a regular CSR activity for the Grand Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur to do whatever they can for old folks homes, single mothers and orphanages such as this. The management team brought food to the old folks home and treated them there as most of them could not leave the home being weak and infirm as they are…

The Grand Seasons Hotel has also donated mattresses, pillows and blankets to the needy homes as they are aware that these needy homes are also struggling to feed their charges, especially with the rising cost of living..

The event was held at the Seasons 2 function room and it was an afternoon full of laughter, fun and games for both the needy kids as well as the hotel management team…

The homes house children from broken families, single mothers, orphans from age 1 to as old as 18 years old, Rumah Kebajikan Anak Yatim Mary actually monitors and check on the children as well until they are 21 years old…
