The Bukit Seraya (Seraya Hill) Lookout Point is one of the many hills that the road crosses along the way. There is a concrete tower built on the summit of the hill beside the road, and you have to first climb a flight of steps to reach the top of the hill and then onwards to the top of the tower, which is 3 stories high to enjoy a splendid view of the hills and mountains of the western side of Taman Negara in Pahang, and also amazing views of the nearby forest and tree crowns, with big seraya trees (Shorea curtisii) being the most common and conspicuous emergent tree in the surrounding hill dipterocarp forest. On a nice clear day, if you are lucky, you can make out the Gunung Tahan in the distance.
You can take the opportunity to feed the Kelah, the king of fresh water fish in Malaysia at the Kelah Sanctuary located at Kuala Juram, just about 13km from Wildlife Office. This is a must-do activity in for those who visit Taman Negara Sungai Relau as the opportunity to watch the fish come out for the pallets and test your skills to touch and hold the fish with your bare hands. It is said to be an extraordinary experience and definitely a must-do!
Among some of sponsors for MFR2016 include Revive (isotonic drink) and Bleu Mineral Water, Ultron (as the official t shirt), Tanah Aina Resort and Mutiara Taman Negara Pahang (holiday packages) and as you can see there are some really attractive prizes to be won from each category....
