Last Monday evening, yours truly along with some blogger friends were at the TEMPTations restaurant indulging in a mouthwatering Dinner buffet spread there was before us...and what a generous spread there was to tantalize our tastebuds...
The ambience of place was just cosy and warm with terracotta red walls, brown tiles. rattan back chairs or red plastic chairs and black table tops...it kinda reminded me of some Mediterranean type restaurant... but ok, I am not about to just gush over the interior designs...
I must say though I found the lay out very nice and the drawings /writings on the glass very charming....
I was here to try out the tantalizing buffet
Executive Chef Helmut Lamberger and his team had painstakingly prepared for all diners every day during lunch and dinner....
I started with some mushroom soup accompanied
by one of the home-made bread rolls spread out generously at the bread table...That mushroom soup was really good... one of the best I have taken... since many places serve ridiculously creamy soup with very little mushroom but the mushroom soup here was generous with mushroom evident with every spoonful...
At the Japanese corner of the buffet spread, there were miso soup, sashimi, a selection of sushi and so on to delight Japanese food lovers....you can watch the chef slice up the salmon, cod, octopus or tuna for you...
Seafood lovers will not be disappointed at the generous cold seafood spread there is... as well as the poached seafood counter where you can choose your fish, prawns, shellfishes and get them poached.... try it with the accompanying Sze Chuan sauce... it's just delicious!!
Be sure to indulge in these spicy and aromatic curries that tantalize your nose and mouth all at the same time....best eaten with the Briyani rice or white rice....
Vegetable lovers will also be spoiled for choice by the selection of vegetables there is....
I was definitely in love with the grilled lamb with generous mushrooms and equally nice gravy....
And the salmon in lemon butter was really nice too , not forgetting the highlight of the restaurant which was a whole salmon fish painstakingly baked over slow fire in salt crust... the salmon flesh was just so tender and juicy it really melted in your mouth like butter....
I love my seafood a lot and these steamed fish in soya sauce were simply irresistible to me as well...
Do not forget to try out the Chinese hot-off-the wok stir-fry or noodles station, Italian pasta
station with traditional sauces and condiments as well as an indigenous Apam Balik station ...
It would be a crying shame if you did not try these sinfully good desserts consisting of an array of colorful and
delicious cakes, puddings, Malay kuih, ice-cream and the all-time favourite Bread and butter pudding with vanilla sauce...and oh Chocolate lovers should not miss out on the Chocolate Fountain masterpiece in the middle of the dining room with fresh fruits, dried fruits, cakes, marshmallows and such to dip in....
My thoughts on this? The food spread here is good, tasty, and value for money considering you get a lot of great stuff here to indulge in and I really like it a lot. I will definitely be back to eat more of this...
