Eating is a pleasure in life... of course, we should not over indulge, (for health and image sake -unless you are fortunate like some people I know who can eat all they want and never get fat!!!) but when I do, which is like once or twice a week, I choose good food to indulge in...
And when I mean good food, I trust Tony Roma as one of my favorite venues that I am ensured a pleasurable gastronomy experience...Having said that, Tony Roma's all set to bring freshness to your table with their new menu that is inspired by ingredients that taste both fresh and fun!!!
For starters (or to end a perfect meal, though I prefer my drinks first....), try the new refreshing fruity /coconut drinks called Pina Mango Swirl, Pina Strawberry Swirl and Pina Colada.. they are non-alcoholic but can still get you drunk on happiness...
For a lovely appetizer, I had the Shrimp Tango, which comprised of juicy tantalizing prawns wrapped in turkey ham and served with a Sriracha lime butter, strawberry and radish guacamole.....just exactly the best way to start a meal..
Once you start on it... it might not be enough... LOL.... I know I had 3 of these prawns...much to my dining companions amusement at my greed...
If you are watching your weight, and do not want a heavy meal, you really have to try this oh so satisfying Harvest Chicken & Fruit Salad. It is so colourfully served , we all could not resist taking many pictures of it before tucking in....
So what is in this bowl?? You will find succulently grilled chicken, Asian salad mix, walnuts, kiwi, pineapple salsa, strawberries, pears, blackberries and...yikes (forgive me for this but I am so NOT a fan of this....) bleu cheese crumbles...all served with a yummy and very refreshing three - berry vinaigrette.
I hate blue cheese.. and there were instances I bit into the blue cheese.. and well, actually, in this salad, it does not taste too bad, giving the salad a little kick actually...so it was pretty bearable and the other ingredients made this dish irresistible.....
The Fire-Roasted Sirloin & Chicken Combo came with a sizeable 5oz Sirloin Steak hidden under a pile of caramelized onion 1/4 chicken in white BBQ sauce and chilli potatoes to ruin your diet..... (especially if you are trying to cut carbs) - they are so good I keep popping them into my mouth...
And the secret to it? They use pink potatoes which have been washed, cut and seasoned with curry powder and baked before just deep frying it for a few seconds just before serving..
The star of the meal... was the Pepsi Cola BBQ Beef Ribs... a perfect marriage of the famous Pepsi-Cola, with Tony Roma's premium BBQ sauce, resulting in a mouthwatering unique taste.... The dish is served with some coleslaw and those irresistible chilli potatoes I just mention above.....
You can select this dish in two sizes... either the Roma Rack or the Full Slab...
...and.... when you order this Pepsi Cola BBQ Beef Ribs and one Pepsi drink, you are entitled to the "Pepsi Contest" where you stand a chance to win a Holiday to a Destination of Your Choice, worth RM3500....This contest will be on going from now up to 5th June...
What? A free holiday?? Count me in... let's see... when is my next visit to Tony Roma's again, I need to enter that contest......
The ingredients here all feature only fresh ingredients.. The people at Tony Roma thinks the term is used so loosely in the industry as there is really a lot that goes into ensuring fresh ingredients...
Because.... well, if you pick a crop too early, it is not ripe enough, and when you pick it too late, it would have lost its lustre...and you do also have to calculate the time it takes from getting it from the plant at the farm to the table where it is served....and Tony Roma has nailed the formula down with their food offerings...
