All hail the new King of EOS is finally here.... yours truly along with some blogger and media friends were at the launch of his majesty, the Canon EOS-1D X Mark II a few days ago at the KL Hilton ballroom....the
EOS-1D X Mark II, is the new Canon flagship professional EOS DSLR model and
long-awaited successor to the EOS-1D X.
The EOS-1D X Mark II presents a next-generation professional DSLR model, that will empower users to push
their boundaries in capturing the best shots.
Professional photographers and
video enthusiasts will be WOWed and thrilled in their ability to achieve stunning image
quality with the EOS-1D X Mark II even in high-speed precision shooting
scenarios typical to journalism, sports, and wildlife photography. I know I so wish I can use one of these.....huhuhu..
The EOS-1D X Mark II breaks new ground for the EOS line with a newly developed 35mm full frame CMOS sensor, Dual DIGIC 6+ image processors, enhanced resolution of 20.2-megapixel images, and expanded ISO speeds of up to 409,600 – a huge leap from its predecessor. With this, users are able to achieve better shooting results in lowlight. The new 360,000 pixel RGB + IR metering sensor and EOS iTR AF system on the EOS-1D X Mark II also greatly improves tracking precision.
And as a professional photographer's camera, it is only fair to say it will exceed most of your expectations... I for one wish I can own something like that too but unless I miraculously get hired by some huge corporation I won't be affording this.. huhuh

conditions. Equipped with five creative filters to deliver different creative
expressions, the EOS 1300D is a high performance entry-level DSLR priced at an
accessible level.
Like its predecessor, the PowerShot G7 X Mark II is
distinguished by superb image quality with the small compact body. Powered by
Canon’s new DIGIC 7 image processor, the PowerShot G7 X Mark II is equipped to
detect and track subjects quicker and more accurately, providing users with
better image quality and performance. Its large aperture f/1.8-f/2.8 4.2x zoom
lens and the 20.1 megapixel 1.0-inch type back illuminated CMOS sensor provides
the camera with beautiful background blurring reminiscent of DLSR photos. The
camera’s improved image stabilization (IS) also allows for sharper detail,
thereby achieving improved image clarity in dim settings even at higher ISO
speeds.
For users who prefer high zoom range and the ability
to capture subjects that are further away, the new PowerShot SX540 HS and
PowerShot SX420 IS have zoom ranges of up to 50x (24-1200mm) and 42x
(24-1008mm) respectively.
The PowerShot SX720 HS on the other hand has a high
zoom capability of 40x (24 – 960mm) and up to 80x with Canon’s ZoomPlus
technology – the highest zoom capability in its class. Movie recording is also
smoother and users will now be able to enjoy recording movies in full HD format
up to 60fps on the PowerShot SX540 HS. With the Short Clip Movie feature on the
PowerShot SX720 HS, users will be able to capture a series of 4 to 6-seconds
movie snippets, which may be played back at different speeds – normal, fast,
action replay, or slow motion for stylistic effects.
For all three models, the Story Highlights feature
intelligently analyses media, appends image effects, background music and photo
effects that suit the content, creating a unique review experience. These
features allow users to bring to life precious moments captured on camera for
users to share them on social media platforms. All of the new PowerShot SX
models have built-in Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity for easy sharing between
compatible cameras, smart devices, and Canon’s Connect Station CS100.
The new IXUS cameras are equipped with the Canon DIGIC
4+ image processor, 20- megapixel sensor and a zoom range of up to 12x in the
IXUS 285 HS. The DIGIC 4+ image processor produces high quality image and
ensures high speed processing with lower power consumption. Now equipped with a
practical zoom range, capturing high resolution images will be a breeze even
for beginners. Its compact size and lightweight design at less than 150g makes
it suitable for everyday use. Users looking to buy their first camera will find
the settings on the new IXUS cameras straightforward, which often only require
a simple push of a button. Uploading and sharing of photos or videos on social
media platforms is also easy with the built-in Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity
feature on the IXUS 285 HS, IXUS 180. The IXUS 175 is FlashAir™ and Eye-Fi
support compatible, enabling users to share images and videos to their smart
phones or mobile devices while staying connected to social media platforms on
the go.
The SELPHY CP1200 is a great companion for preserving
memories on-the-go with beautiful and high-quality prints. Newly equipped with
an optional battery pack that can power up the printer without relying on a
power outlet, this printer is coupled with Wi-Fi capability that makes sharing incredibly
easy. Creating special mementoes for their guests is now extremely convenient
as users can print up to 54 prints instantly from their cameras and smartphones
