Cooking for your infant or toddler or even an elderly parent can be a lot of hassle and stress. You need to defrost that chicken or fish, steam or boil the food, then you need to chop them up, mash them, blend them, etc...add that to your already hectic day especially if you are a working mom and it is just so stressful....

However, a dream appliance has been invented that can just do all that for you!!! Isn't that like heaven sent?? I know it definitely seem that way for me... You can now just make porridge, purees, pesto, mash potato, etc,etc all in just a few steps... no sweat at all, and you do not need that many pots or so on to wash up later....

I was all curious when a blogger friend got the the Lenovo Vibe K4 Note to review and begged for the chance to look it over and check it out... after all, I can be a bit of a gadget freak as most of us are and want to know what is going on and the latest that is out from the many smart phone companies...

The Lenovo Vibe K4 Note looks lovely even with a first glance with a slightly curved back panel design, with features metallic rim defining its sides. It has a removable panel that can be taken off to put in dual SIM cards and a microSD card. I like this a lot... I kind of half resent some of those phones, my Vivo and Huawei included where I cannot open the back panel... soooo annoying especially when the phone hangs!!!

BDB Climb and Run Langkawi 2016 preview....

I got pulled into a preview route climb and run in Langkawi by a blogger friend of mine and I unwittingly said yes, because, well… I was excited to see how a run in the forest felt like…

The forest can be after all a very mystical and magical place… sometimes… blame it on the diet of Enid Blyton Enchanted Forest books I grew up on and also those stories of magical folks, Jungle Book and bunians you hear about… OK, I am not about to wax lyrical over my fantasies….

It was only a few days when I got the email when I realised what I let myself in for… hahaha… I was horrified… and stunned myself a little when I found out that the route was a 4000 over steps , 4287 steps to be exact and 3.1km in length and followed by a 15 km run downhill…..

Nevertheless, since it was a preview route run, and with the encouragement of my friend, I thought I should just challenge myself and see how far I can go. Crazy right?? When all this while I have only done fun runs for 3-5 km… and that also brisk walking… hahahah….

Almost everyone has at least one favorite ABBA song.. and it is because that ABBA is such a popular group with just too many catchy songs... Dealing with haters and petty people

Have you realized, there are many times in life when no matter what you do and or do not do, there will always be someone there to ever ready rain on your parade. They are your haters…  Haters are people who hate! Remember the story of the man, his son /wife and the donkey??

They are jealous of what you are, and what you have become… but they choose to express negativity toward you and your accomplishments in the hope of tearing you down to their level and yes, many a  times, it works, it works when your own confidence level is shaky…. It works when you are slightly doubtful of yourself and then you fall, and that would be their happiest moments….

What did you do over the weekend... I followed my blogger friend Misz Ella around on some errands and we ended up at the SJKC Choong Wen along Jalan Klang Lama. Why? Apparently there was a KpopX & Zumba Fitness Party 2016 happening there...

Now I love Zumba, it is one of my favourite workout routine, though I have to admit I am not that good at all the dance moves but I totally did not know anything about any KpopX.....

I am always fascinated when new phones get launched as I think most gadget freaks would be as well.. and this one is the latest launched from vivo since they last launch the vivo X5 Pro last year. I have been using the vivo X5 Max and it is definitely one of my favorite phones... 

Hell.. (oops, pardon my language) I dropped it into a bucket of water accidentally once and was scared to death it was a goner and at another time again I accidentally spilled water inside my bag which got my digital camera haywired but my vivo seemed perfectly fine after I wiped it off carefully, much to my relief!!! Maybe I am just lucky, but maybe its vivo!!! So I will attest to the fact vivo is really a good phone....

Don't you somehow love those talent shows where you get to watch people from all walks of life showing of their skills? Some which can make you go all agog, some which annoys you and some that make you do a double take.....

Anyway, Britain’s Got Talent is back with a bang! At just the first round of auditions viewers and the judges, of course, saw some incredible acts, including Alex Magala, who got everyone shrieking in horror with his sword-swallowing routine..... and here is an interview with the The 26-year-old from Moldova who performed what has been described as "one of the most dangerous acts ever" on Britain's Got Talent....

There are different causes of colour blindness. Ok, ok, I just could not resist posting that above picture but it is not mine... the photo should be credited to Songkran2015.com .... but well... that is just the idea of what Songkran is like in our neighbouring country Thailand... I have never yet gotten a chance to participate in Songkran but from what I gather, it is a water festival in Thailand that will take place from the 13 to the 15th of April, to celebrate Thailand’s traditional New Years Eve celebration...

Songkran was originally celebrated by Thai people who will sprinkle water on their family members and elders for good fortune and pay their respects to images of their beloved Buddha. 

However these days, the festival has become a wet and wild 3 days of  splashing locals and visitors who are on the street with buckets of water, water hoses and super soakers, so be ready to get wet if you are in Thailand when its Songkran Festival...

I miss Yogyakarta and am planning a trip back there maybe next year or so...depending on my budget. Yogyakarta is to me, an absolutely charming little town filled with historical sights and charming people...

Yogyakarta is the soul of Java. Yogyakarta (pronounced ‘Jogjakarta’ and called Yogya or Jogja for short), is where the Javanese language is at its purest, Java’s arts at their brightest and its traditions at their most visible.

It is the only state which is still independent and protective of its customs, and has a sultan, whose kraton (palace) is still full of tradition.

If someone were to tell me I have to stay in Indonesia... I would definitely choose to stay here in Yogyakarta...So, I really will be headed back to Yogyakarta for a few more visits in the near future....

Most of us... I would say... have watched the Lion King...and some of us may have cried when Mufasa, Simba's dad died trying to save him. Some parents, especially first time parents may be a bit over paranoid. I know of a new mom who goes around almost spraying antibacterial sanitizer all over anything and everything around where her baby is.. and she even keep sanitizing her hands every hour or so....

This probably sounds like the right thing to do to most of the nervous new parents looking to do the best by their kids. But do you know it is also good to let their immune system learn and figure out a little on what to do with the bacteria they come across....

Yes, the normal bacteria around us actually teaches our baby’s immune system how to investigate, and figure out how to respond to the different bacteria there is around. The immune system has to learn how to pick out which cells in the body aren’t actually supposed to be there, and if the immune system can't even get a chance to practice on harmless bacteria, it would be in a state of confusion when some really bad and serious bacteria appears.

So I always believe in a balanced lifestyle... of allowing my children to explore and even get a little dirty... Having a pet in the house is also a good way to give your kid the good kind of immune exposure; but so is just being outside in the wide world: playing in the park, or in the rain, splashing in the mud for half an hour or such.. this can do alot for our children's immune system and also allow our children to enjoy their childhood..

All I know is when the half an hour or hour I allocate her to have her fun and get dirty is over, she has to come in and clean up well... and for this I choose Dettol..
