The MATTA Fair 2016 is currently on and will be on until tomorrow, the 13 of March 2016. It is the IT place to go for amazing travel deals and packages. So be sure not to miss the three day fair, ok, now on point of print,(two more days) held at the Putra World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur.
Yours truly is a huge fan of MATTA Fair and has always been so. I try not to miss one if I can.. why, you ask? It is because, there are so many things to see, buy, consider, do... I could spend hours here at the MATTA Fair and not get bored.. even if I am broke for the moment and not shopping for any travel package (just saying)...and freebies to score... (Let me show you some I scored this year...)
Before all that, be sure to check out the wide variety of packages being offered for both abroad as well as just in Malaysia itself..
Travel does not mean we have to get on a flight and go somewhere far, far away...Sometimes, we do need our weekend short breaks and where better to go then to head to some chalet, hotels or resorts where we can chill with out friend or loved ones...And here at the MATTA Fair, you can find amazing deals for hotel stays, local theme parks and so on....
There is just so much to see and choose from, and even I get amazed by all the selections there are from Angry Bird Activity park, Escape Room, Wet World, KidZania, Sunway Lagoon Theme Park, Legoland, even the newcomer MAPS- Movie Animation Park Studios (that will be opening in Ipoh soon) and so on....
Take this opportunity to save some money by just getting some tickets for your kids or loved ones to the Zoo Negara, Jumpstreet, Kuala Lumpur Bird Park, Aquaria or so on....
This year Indonesia is going all out as well and so check out deals for Bali, Surabaya, Padang, Yogyakarta, Aceh, Batam, Jakarta, Bandung etc..etc...they even have a Chocolate and Tea corner where you can treat your taste buds to, get a spa demo, meet and greet Indonesian celebrity Cakra Khan and enjoy some Indonesian Cultural Performances....

I was given a goodie bag from Lotte World with the two mascots Lotty and Lorry in traditional Korean costumes inside it!!! See!! So cute!!! Kamsahamida, KTO and Lotte World!!! I was sooooo happy...
Here are some of the activities of what you can do at the Korean booth......
Oh, and how can I resist... this is probably the third time I am trying out the Hanbok, the national costume of Korea but I can never resist it... hehehe... so what do you think? Do I look Korean?? Can I be a court lady or concubine to the Korean king? Oh stop it already Miera!! Hehehe...
Take a peek at the Japan National Tourism Organisation to find out more about interesting places you really should put on your wishlist, bucket list and places to visit
And .. yeah, don't forget to be a little hardworking, and fill up the survey or questionnaires they have in return for some pretty amazing money can't buy souvenirs....
You can even get a your own face on a button badge if you want....just answer the survey form on traveling to Japan....
I am always amazed by all the colourful costumes from different places it the world... the picture on top is from Okinawa.....

And woooots... the Japanese brought down a geisha for us to enjoy...you can't simply see a Geisha anywhere, except for probably in Kyoto, Japan, so this was a real treat...
A geisha is a woman highly trained in the arts of music, dance and entertaining. Geisha is Japanese for "person of art." She spend many years perfecting herself learning to play various musical instruments, sing, dance and be the perfect hostess in a party of men. A geisha, when she is working, is just that: the illusion of female perfection.
A geisha's makeup, hair, clothing and manner are calculated to indulge a man's fantasy of the perfect woman. The Geisha sells their talent for entertaining -not their bodies...
I got a picture with a real geisha...heck, I did not even get a chance to meet one when I was in Tokyo... huhuhu
Here are the time table so do not miss out on this rare opportunity to meet a Geisha...
I headed back to the Korea Travel Organisation booth upon smelling something delicious in the air and sure enough they were busy preparing bibimbap under the watchful eyes of Chef Lee...
Bibimbap is one of the most popular dishes in Korea, and it is a nutritious rice dish of steamed rice and pre-cooked vegetables (usually spinach, bean sprouts, carrots, mushrooms, egg and lettuce) and even meat all mixed in with some gochujang (chilli pepper paste) sauce.
The public were all given a chance to stir and mix the bibimbap, consisting of rice, some vegetables and seaweed and gochujang sauce in....
Chef Lee, dishing out the ready bibimbap for everyone to eat...
Om nom nom... love the bibimbap for sure... it is so yummy!!! And I was also given a little container with two little Kkul tteok, which are some Korean rice balls stuffed with some nutty tasting Korean syrup...
