Ok, today is the day I am gonna be 'perasan' (narcissistic) and am blogging about my own person.. my personality and to let my friends/ readers get a glimpse and some insight about me...
Once upon a time back in my high school days I dreamt of being a journalist... I wanted to be able to write and travel.. , it was definitely one of my ambitions back then. However I
did not come from a rich supportive family, so as a result of it, once I had finished my SPM, I was forced out into the work field. I never had a chance to further my studies so I never got to pursue any of my ambitions.
Me as a kid... |
I just worked to make ends meet, never mind that I found work boring and tedious, most of the time (except maybe a couple of work places like Warner Music Malaysia and so which I really had fun working) as I hated nothing more then to be cooped up in one place, thus I never manage to stay at one job long...maximum was perhaps 2 years? I am pretty much a free spirit...
I loved reading (books are a part of my life, and it is through books that I learn how to slowly improve my English and I lived in a fantasy world a lot, to get away from overly stressful things in life) and enjoy writing (ask my school friends and they will tell you I loved writing stories etc...), but I am not that good at it... well, I know I am not that bad either, but well, what do you expect from someone whose highest level of study is just SPM...There is no one to guide me, train me or correct me..
In front of the Notre Dame in Paris... and yes.. I am one of those idiots who went to Paris and did NOT take a photo with the Eiffel Tower.. |
I love photography and travel as well, and I have been blessed to have been able to travel quite a bit.. and well, I can never put my camera down or at least resist whipping out my phone camera or my actual camera for a picture or two. That is what that makes me, but again, I am such an amateur.... sighhh no skills to brag about...
A half faded polariod of me standing over the River Liffey in Dublin, Ireland |
So you got that thousands of dollars jewelry, or you have that brand new sports car... that don't impress me much.... but what makes me envious is when I see people traveling, seeing the world whether for work or play.
I live to travel(and I am not traveling as much as I like to), and even my husband knows that I need to at least take a break and get out into the world twice a year.... hahahah
What makes my eyes light up is that camera on that shelf... It probably cost maybe a few hundred ringgit or a thousand ringgit or so, but that makes my eyes light up... or maybe that new phone with an amazing build in camera... heheheh... Yes, I love that sort of things..
this place is slightly morbid... it is an ancient passage tomb in Ireland... the Fourknocks passage tomb . It is however very nice and cooling here and I actually won't mind staying in here... LOL |
Basically, I am the average woman next door, a peace loving type of person who rather live serenely and I hate fights. With the havoc and chaos in the world around me being the way it is, sometimes I just wish I could remove myself from all, this and go retire in some forest or cave and live out the rest of my life alone....
I am easy going and fun loving, at least this is what I think of myself.. if you who know me think otherwise, do let me know...
I am also a very unsure person. I am introvert and well, when I was younger, I often kept to myself. I was nerdy and definitely not popular or well liked by all, so that made me kinda uncomfortable being around too many people and more comfortable being on my own at times.... This is what that makes me appear sometimes uncertain, shy and unfriendly. Come and say 'Hi' if you meet me and I will definitely answer you... hehehe
Disneyland!!!I cannot remember which one this is... I have been to two... Anaheim in California and Paris... |
Life has changed for me in leaps and bounds since I began blogging. I have slowly improved myself. I apologize if you have been reading my blog before 2015... Looking back on it makes me myself cringe as well and I feel almost ashamed to be called a blogger.
However what made me want to be a blogger is because of my dream..so being a blogger is almost the closest thing I can get to being a journalist. And again when I just began blogging, no one was there to guide me or teach me and I think I upset some people with my blog quality then. I have since learned to improve myself from reading my fellow blogger friend's blog, and how some of them took the trouble to help me and advise me.
Yours truly here with some good blogger friends of mine who never fail to support me. Jane from www.mommyjane.com and Sherry from namesherry.com |
These are the support I really am so grateful for and I am blessed to know them... I am sure you know who you are.. thanks for being there for me in the beginning, introducing PRs to me and so on...
And for the PR companies and other people who gave me chances and support, I also thank you from the bottom of my heart, I know my blog has tremendously improved from how I blogged or posted some crap (which I was just more interested in sharing with my friends) on a few years ago... I am where I am because of your belief and trust .
More pretty and awesome blogger friends |
Of course, I am not resting on my laurels and I have a long way to go before I can call myself a good blogger so I continue my journey of self discovery and constantly in search of improvement.
Meeting Amber Chia is always awesome...She is just so humble, sweet and friendly... |
As for being a blogger, I have also gained a lot of amazing experience, great moments, great friends, weight also (hahahaha, from all those yummy food reviews) , and maybe some haters?? Naturally, whenever you grow there are bound to be some people who might hate you because not everyone is going to support whatever you are doing right... they would rather pull you down if they can. As a person, I have also learned to be more proactive, confident and live life the way it should be lived... hahaha...(thus my instagram account @livelifelah )
My youngest daughter who sometimes accompanies me to some events also gain plenty of experience.
With more blogger pals at the top of KL Tower... |
I still hope I am given more opportunities in the near future to travel, blog and such, and appreciate everyone's support, especially you, since you are visiting my blog and reading it...My humblest appreciation...
Want to know more about me, feel free to ask me any questions in the comments below.. and if I can answer, I will hehehe...
