My experience cruising on the Black Pearl....

 

I had a very good experience recently when I got to take a little cruise in the Black Pearl.....and it was in the pelting rain with some flashes of thunder, and the sea....well, the sea was however kinda subdued....

.....oh.... ok... I am so getting ahead of myself.. and letting my imagination run wild again.... tee hee....

Ok, the reality was I was just being at the marina at Puteri Harbour, half delirious with excitement, after being told that we were on the 1st batch out on the Black Pearl. 

This Black Pearl is not the infamous pirate ship I was trying to pretend I was on, but rather a very smart looking 45 ft long cruiser boat owned by Captain Micheal Jones.... (nope, sorry to disappoint, not related at all to Captain Davy Jones too....)

It certainly was a thrilling moment as we walked along the decks towards where the Black Pearl was being harbored...

My first glimpse of the Black Pearl made me ecstatic. Being adventurous me, I am no stranger to boat rides or cruises, I have to admit I still feel the thrill of getting on a cruiser for a ride... despite having been on many different types of boats in my life..... heheheh

Ahoy there!!!  I am all ready to get onboard the Black Pearl!!! Oppps.... camera is at the wrong angle...

.... yeah, this is more like it.........now you can see the Black Pearl right behind me..

Before boarding the Black Pearl, Captain Michael Jones has already gathered us up to give us a safety briefing.....(picture credit to Raneeta Gill and Black Pearl FB)

The Black Pearl has a large queen size state room, with a comfortable bed to rest in .....

And there is also a large spacious kitchen/dining area with seating for up to 4 guests with a lovely mahogany table to chit chat and enjoy your snacks and drinks... 

Up at the bridge area where Captain Michael Jones is steering the Black Pearl, there are more seats there so you can catch the sea breeze and enjoy the coastal views as the cruiser cruise along the Tebrau Bay.  If you like to try your hand on steering the cruiser, Captain Jones is more then happy to let you try...

I would have really love to go up to the bow of the cruiser but unfortunately during out 1 and a half hour cruise between Johor and Singapore, the weather was really dreary and it was raining, and I did not think it was prudent as it was slippery there as well, so we missed out on that opportunity....

So I spent most of the time having some snacks and drinks, chit chatting with my dear blogger friend Sherry... (the above photo has been taken from her blog and credited Mandy/Kakalinawak....

Thank you to the Black Pearl for the very lovely cruise... it had been a fun ride despite the down pour which did not quite dampen our spirit of adventure....
