I was there recently with my youngest daughter, my shadow… since my other half could not join me after having to go outstation for a trip suddenly…

We had the Yam Soam Roam or Traditional Mixed Mango & Papaya Salad (RM22.90)… a really light and refreshing salad made from marinated mango, papaya and a generous sprinkling of peanuts, this Yam Soam Roam is tangy and very appetizing ……

A Thai meal can never ever be completed without the ever popular Chakri Tom Yam soup (RM17.90-RM29.90)- serves one , and Chakri Palace boasts an award-winning version of this wildly popular dish. 

You can choose to indulge in this famous spicy and sour lemongrass soup served either clear or red. You can also choose having King Prawns, Seafood or Chicken in your soup…It is light yet nourishing, the soup is jammed packed with flavours… I had a red soup with seafood…. And it was spicy and simply enjoyable… after all, for those who can eat spicy food,  Thai food is not enjoyable without some spiciness...

My daughter loves her greens and so the Kana Pla Kem or Traditional Thai Kailan (RM24.90) with Salted Fish was a must have. Fans of salted fish will be delighted to find generous serving of choice salted fish in the dish… I loved it to bits……

Another must have is the Gai How Bai Tuey or better known as Traditional Pandan Chicken (RM29.90) You get 6 generous pieces of chicken lovingly marinated in spices and wrapped in pandan leaves … and the result? Chicken that is juicy, tender and flavorful… you can enjoy it with the accompanying Thai Chilli sauce or have it just like that…

One of the highlights of my lunch would be the Pla Krapong Neung Ma Now or Steamed Seabass with Lime & Chilli (RM79.90) . I love steamed fish to bits.. it is one of my favourite food ever, and this slightly cloudy sauce of refreshing lime, chilli and garlic are simply heavenly on my palate. The fish is served on a fish shaped plate and brought out bubbling and sizzling ….

I swear I can eat this whole fish just by myself.....
