The affordable cat food your cats love and deserve....

There is a huge variety of cat food in the market, and having a few cats at home, and being just in the middle average income or is it the middle lower income category, I cannot afford to feed them the super expensive premium cat food, for me, my choice is Whiskas..

Anyway, did you know Whiskas was holding the Whiskas National Cat of the Year 2015 contest? I am pretty sure many cat lovers entered their kitties for this. I would have, but my indoor cat Muezza isn't the too sociable type and she would be all stressed up and that would make me bonkers too....

Anyway, those who entered the contest can get geared up for the grand finale of the Whiskas National Cat of the Year 2015 which is offering a total of RM25,000 in cash up for grabs, plus a year’s supply of cat food for the Grand Prize winner which will be held very soon...on 3 October 2015 at 1:30pm at AEON Ampang Utara 2 (AU2). 

Shortlisted winners will be judged by celebrity Syakila Nisha, better known as Kilafairy, Khalid Rashid, President of the Malaysia Cat Club and Dr Susan Wan, veterinarian from MARS Malaysia. The event will be emceed by actor Zoey Rahman, who will be gearing up the crowd to welcome the WHISKAS National Cat of the Year.

Entries for the Whiskas National Cat of the Year 2015 contest by Mars Foods Malaysia Sdn Bhd (Mars) came to a close on 31 July with an overwhelming response from all over Malaysia. Participants had to send in a photo of their feline furkid in one of three categories - Bright Eyes, Shiny Fur Coat or Lively and Energetic, via Facebook or via Pos Malaysia’s normal postal service, together with proof of purchase for any WHISKAS product.

The participating cats will be judged based on their appearance and energy level based on the categories of Bright Eyes, Shiny Fur Coat as well as Lively and Energetic. These are also the features of a healthy cat, which Whiskas proprietary Vital System benefits offered through Whiskas products can help achieve

"Mine, mine, mine!!! Don't you lay your hands or paws on this!!"

From the 15 shortlisted participants, one cat that epitomises the 3 key signs of a healthy cat will be crowned Whiskas National Cat of the Year 2015. 

The lucky cat and owner will take home RM10,000 in cash and a year’s supply of Whiskas products while there will also be one Category Winner named for each of the three categories, who will take home RM5,000 in cash and a 6-month supply of Whiskas products. 

The 11 other finalists will also not be going home empty handed, as each will take home a Consolation Prize of a 6-month supply of Whiskas products.

Don't forget to catch the Whiskas roadshow from 2 to 4 October 2015 at AEON AU2 with free vet check-up for your furkid /cat, Instagram contests and activities for your human kids.

The PAWS Animal Welfare Society will have a cat adoption drive on the first two days of the roadshow, so interested adopters can drop by to inquire or bring home a furkid of their own. 

The event will also have Happy Hour giveaways and lucky draws for visitors, grooming and pampering sessions for cats, and nutrition and grooming talks. Visitors who share about the roadshow on social media will also be able to redeem a free Whiskas food pack and merchandise.
