So yours truly here was at the Chatime Galleria at Lot 10 recently to check out the launch of their Thai-Tea Fest. It was a colourful event with staff members all decked in Thai clothing, Thai melodies being played on air and sashes and there was even part of a real tuk tuk there!!
Chatime Malaysia, the leading lifestyle brand of the modern tea industry in the country was certainly making a huge splash with their two new tea concoctions for tea lovers and I was blessed to be there to be among the first to be able to taste these very delicious tea..
Chatime is as usual taking a bold step in revolutionizing the way Malaysians enjoy tea by injecting a new burst of flavours , this time, inspired by the tea cultures of our Northern neighbour, Thailand. Chatime has been continuously offering fellow tea connoisseurs locally the chance to experience new dimensional flavours by bringing in classic drinks from other countries not found in run-of-the -mill beverage outlets.
The Thai-Tea Fest launch was truly a fun filled event for members of the media and invited guests as we got to partake in various activities including getting free shiny gold and silver stick on tattoos, free Kodak photo prints, and even a scrumptious Thai brunch...and of course, tasting the yummy new Chatime Thai inspired drinks, the Pearl Thai Milk Tea and Coconut Top Thai Milk Tea.
Both of these offerings are passionately crafted by Chatime and Taiwan's in-house tea experts using only the finest ingredients to create the best tea-drinking experience...
The Pearl Thai Milk Tea is made with a perfect brew of Thailand's finest black tea leaves added with creamer. This fragrant and creamy textured drink is then perfectly complemented with the addition of Chatime's signature tapioca pearls that offer a distinctive, chewy taste of fragrant brown sugar....The Pearl Thai Milk Tea comes in two sizes and retails at RM6.50 (regular) and RM7.50 (large)
On the other hand, the Coconut Top Thai Milk Tea is cooly blended with ice, then topped with the finest candied grated coconut shavings. The result is a flavourful and very satisfying refreshment that you can truly enjoy any time any day...This comes in just one size and retails at RM8.50
The Thai Milk Tea series can be purchased at all Chatime outlets except Queensbay Mall, Penang and will be available for a limited period of time from 14th September onwards , while stocks last....
"Thai Milk Tea is a beverage that is enjoyed by many people from around the world. However, despite it's popularity, the opportunity for consumers to enjoy the milk tea is still very limited, mainly at Thai restaurants in Malaysia. Therefore, with the launch of our new beverage series, we aim to bring the savoury, thirst quenching taste of Thai Milk Tea to all out customers while at the same time, infusing out own local fusion that is appealing to Malaysians, " said Bryan Loo, Managing Director of Chatime Malaysia
In an effort to modernise the consumer shopping experience, Chatime is also introducing their new prepaid cash system called Thirstea Ringgit into their existing Thirstea card loyalty programme.
In addition to previous benefits, the new prepaid system allows customers to top up money into their Thirstea card to be used for their next purchase and enjoy a truly cashless purchasing experience...So if you happen to forget to bring your wallet, or run out of money after a crazy shopping spree, you can still buy your favourite Chatime drinks anytime, anywhere without worrying about your cash situation.
Chatime is offering a promotion as part of the launch of the Thirstea Ringgit where with every 10 cups of Chatime drinks purchased using the new Thirstea Ringgit, you can enjoy one FREE drink courtesy of Chatime. This new Thirstea Ringgit service will be launched on 1st October across all stores nationwide, so hurry up and enjoy this new experience and join in the Thirstea family!!!
Along with this Thirstea Ringgit system, Chatime is also launching their mobile app. so customers like you and me can stay connected to the latest Chatime news and promotions as well as receive freebies directly sent to their mobile phones....
This app will also allow us to pay, reload and keep tabs on our loyalty rewards wherever we are. It is the first step of Chatime's latest initiative to help bring the company towards the digital frontier and improving the customer engagement with the brand.
Chatime is targeting to open its 150th outlet by the end of 2015, further solidifying its foothold as one of Malaysia's leading beverage brand!!!
