The Secret to having Younger and Healthier hair...

I had been wanting a new look, something slightly different

from the boring browns or reds which I have always been

used to and so I dropped by one of my favorite salon Daisuke

Salon De Coiffure, a Japanese Salon run by Daisuke Suzuki

and his lovely wife Ai , which was located at the 3 Two

Square in Petaling Jaya.

Stepping in to the salon was just like visiting a close friend

because of the warmth and friendliness by the staff , Ai and

Daisuke.

There are a variety of imported oils, shampoos and hair care products at the window shelves with some Bandai kind of figurines, which I guess must be Daisuke's hobby or collection...

The salon was spacious, neat with white walls, huge big full mirrors and comfortable black chairs and curtains for privacy should the need arise ...

There are also private 'rooms' especially for Muslim women wearing the hijab or for any other requirements for privacy ...

Even the washing are is pretty well equipped with comfortable chairs and a headboard/ neck rests that allows the customers comfort. There have been some hair salons I have been to where they have pretty uncomfortable headboard /neck rests (whatever you really call them) which really put a strain on our neck....

Anyway my hair stylist for the day was none other then Senior Stylist Amanda who practically clucked her tongue at me over my pretty dry and damaged tresses.. She then decided to give me a hair cut, a hair relaxer at my fringe since my hair tends to sometimes become more messy at the front when I get a fringe, some dark purple hair colouring and the Ultrasonic Hair Treatment...

And taa daaa... after getting a cut....My new shorter hair look... Looks like I am back to just shoulder length hair...

And this is what it should look like, at least Amanda expected my hair to be like this as she even taught me how to just blow dry my hair using my fingers....with a little twirling at the edges...

Then Amanda, started to apply some hair relaxer for my fringe...

For your info, a hair relaxer is a lotion or cream that makes the hair easier to straighten and manage. It reduces the curl by breaking down the hair strand and chemically altering the texture. I needed it as I have pretty stubborn hair then tends to go wayward whenever I try having a fringe, and since Amanda wanted me to try having a fringe, this is what she recommended and did for me...

After about half an hour and rinsing off the hair relaxer cream and blow drying, Amanda and her assistant then started coloring my hair...

That got me pretty excited and also nervous, because I did not know how my new color was going to look like.

Once my colouring was done and I have my hair rinsed,

Amanda started with my ULTRASONIC hair treatment

which is highly recommended after a hair rebonding,

perming or coloring.

This treatment contains Deep Repair Restructure Serum

used together with the Honey Dew Repair Mask with

moisture-balance characteristic that makes our hair soft

& healthier.

It is also good for decreasing abnormal hair loss, reduces

loss of moisture in hair, prevents split ends, gives dull or

damaged hair like mine a nicer sheen as well as protects

our hair from hot blow-drying.

The Ultrasonic Hair Treatment appliance used looked like a Hair Straightener, but unlike the Hair Straightener it was cold and worked by producings ultrasonic waves and helping your hair to absorb nutrients in the treatment cream.

My hair was clamped between the ultrasonic and infrared plates, which moved from the root to end 3-5 times at a very low speed. Daisuke came and checked on my hair and did a big portion of the Ultrasonic Hair Treatment on my hair for me.

You can really feel the difference and that your hair is definitely a lot more smoother and softer after the treatment, the result of Ultrasonic Treatment is said to be able to last a few weeks to up to 3 months...

After the all my hair had gone through the treatment, I had to wait for a while more for the nutrients to seep into the follicles in my hair. Then I washed my hair yet again and had it blown dry..

When it was over, Amanda did her last minute touch ups before sending me off...with Daisuke looking on.

And this is the result... I got some purply hair now...and my hair feels just so smooth and healthy after the Ultrasonic Hair Treatment...I like it..., my family and friends also loved my new look, they say it takes ages off my age, so I am a little younger now.. hehehe...all thanks to Daisuke Salon De Coiffure...
