Brandt International, a
specialist in business transformation consulting and outsourcing company along
with the Johor Rural Transformation Centre (RTC) announced a Talent Building Initiative
that is leading to job opportunities in Nusajaya, Johor. The launch of this
collaboration will see the creation of 50 jobs for Customer Management
Executives in the newly set up office in 1Medini Hub, Nusajaya, Kota Iskandar. This
initiative will provide professional development and opportunities for growth
in Kota Iskandar.
Brandt International focuses
on enabling organisation to positively transform their customer management
strategies and operations through improving the quality, performance and
efficiency of its approach and people to deliver an improved customer experience.
Johor Rural Transformation Centre (RTC) is a government agency that was introduced
by the Malaysian government under the National Blue Ocean Strategy 4 (NBOS4).
Located in the heart of Kulai Jaya town, RTC Johor’s prime mission is to
effectively transform and upgrade the quality of life of the Johor’s citizens.
Since 2014, RTC Johor aims to create positive impact on the livelihood of urban
and rural citizens through co-ordinated projects with the private sectors.
Candidates selected for these 50 Customer Management Executives must be
from the state of Johor. RTC Johor will be selecting the candidates then
supplying the talents to Brandt International to place and train. RTC Johor
will be selecting from SPM holders with 1 year experience in the service or
sales industry, fresh Diploma and Degree graduates in any field and early
retirees from other industries who wish to relocate to Nusajaya.
“With the support from RTC
Johor we are confident that this initiative will be a success. This is only the
beginning and Brandt is ready to undertake business development activities to
create more job opportunities in Johor. There is also a shortage of talents in
Tier 1 cities whereby everyone is competing for the same talents. Moving to
Nusajaya is a conscious strategy for Brandt to attract new talents in the state
to be skilled for jobs in the Business Services sector. We also believe that
creating a healthy ecosystem that is capable of providing sound physical and
social infrastructure to support growth will further enhance success and
development rates as is in the infrastructure and technology provided at 1
Medini Hub.” Said Ms. Munirah Looi, Founder and CEO of Brandt International.
The Malaysian business
services industry has estimated to have grown at a compound annual growth rate
(CAGR) of 15% in the last five years. These organisations set up in Malaysia to
serve their regional operations, and some of their global business services
portfolio such as shared services centers, or global in-house centers (GICs).
There is now a shift to move their set ups out of the Klang Valley to tier 2
and 3 cities (Such as Nusajaya) because of the imbalances of the current
demand-supply in the labour market
“Looking beyond a stable infrastructure is developing talent. Our trained
employees will be able to deliver quality service at the highest possible
standards. This will attract reputable organisations from both the domestic and
global market to locate in Johor and thus potentially creating another 750 jobs
in within the next 3 – 5 years.” shares Ms Munirah Looi. “With strong
government support, a skilled talent pool, business expertise, excellent
infrastructure, and ease of travel, will be the key driving factors for success
and influx of MNCs setting up their offices in Malaysia in the coming years.”
Once these candidates have been recruited and employed they will undergo
a specially designed training programme for one month. The training programme
is to equip the candidates with the relevant skills and mindset for the
intended employment. There are 3 parts to the training which will cover the
foundation skills in English Language and Personal Leadership followed by the
soft skills and the technical skills required for job performance. Upon
completion of this training programme the candidates will now be ready to begin
their successful careers.
