Ramadan, considered the holiest month of the
year is a time of
reflection, embracing the community, and appreciating blessings.
Thus recently, the Curve
gave a group of orphans from Rumah
Perlindungan Al Nasuha a little Raya treat.
With the theme, ‘A Syawal Spectacular’, the Curve had a
line-up of fun activities in store for the children, set amidst the authentic kampung ambience of the mall’s décor.
It was obvious that the children had fun from the beginning as they
excitedly checked out their new hairstyles after a haircut by Kwikcut. They were then ushered to the
Centre Court, where they were thrilled with the Perak-style Malay house as
the centre stage, along with potted plants, colourful Raya decorations, and an
actual man-made river to create a traditional village scene.
The children were entertained by an Angklung Ensemble and Irama Aidilfitri Trio instrumental performance as well as a live musical and dance
performance, ‘A Syawal Spectacular’,
featuring traditional dances
and classic
Raya songs by performers donning stunning traditional costumes. This lively and festive production was thoroughly
enjoyed by all who were present.
Encik Jazmi Kamarudin, General Manager of the Curve,
said, “We always try to give back whenever we can, especially in conjunction
with festive occasions, where it is important to share the joy with those less
fortunate. During this time of Ramadhan, we are privileged and honoured to give
the children of Rumah Perlindungan Al
Nasuha an authentic Raya experience. It was a truly meaningful day for us
and we hope they enjoyed this memorable celebration.”
The Raya joy was evident in the wide smiles of
the young guests when they received their Duit Raya and Raya goodies courtesy of the Curve.
After a photo session with the Curve’s Management,
event sponsors and performers, the children were accompanied by their caretakers
and members of the Curve Management Team for a delicious Buka Puasa meal at Ma’Cik Biryani.
From now up to July 19,
2015, visitors can enjoy the Raya festivities at the Curve’s Centre Court,
including delectable Raya goodies, gorgeous festive apparel and accessories, and
a wide range of Raya hampers offered by various participating stalls.
In addition to the live
musical show taking place every weekend and Public Holiday, shoppers can also
enjoy three-piece musical performances on Friday evenings and weekends during
the campaign period, your kids can enjoy learning weaving, or anyaman, along with other fun crafts at
the Arts & Crafts workshop.
With a minimum spend of RM200 in a maximum of two receipts, shoppers can redeem exclusive Sampul Raya packets during this period. Spend a minimum of RM450, and a special RempahRaya Spice Rack in a set of four awaits you, courtesy of the Curve. All redemptions are subject to terms and
