Have you heard about Iris Apfel... Yes? No? Ok, for your info, Iris Apfel is someone who inspires me... she is probably the oldest fashion icon in the world.... She is 93 years and that does not stop her from being fashionable, fabulous and looking awesome...

And.... for me, I can be very picky on my shoes. I like my shoes simple, classy and fun, but they must also be comfortable, and XES is one of those brands that I like because their shoes are simply all that and more....

Anyway, yours truly was invited to check out the XES Signature Launch 2015 with the theme, The Tales of Olympus....and it was a grand and happening event with soooooo much happening in the main concourse of the Quill City Mall!!

This was certainly a very eye catching launch with the Gods and Goddesses of Olympus , Grecian maidens and dashing demi gods mingling with mere mortals like yours truly here....

Anyway, with lots of classical, artistic and Grecian inspired hues, XES's Tales of Olympus Collection was launched....

The concourse was peppered with lovely, eye catching foot wear for both the ladies and the gents, which got a lot of us fashionistas sighing and ooh-ing wishfully. Yeah.....I swear if I was rich, and money was not an issue, I would have left Quill City Mall with at very least one dozen pairs of shoes and half a dozen bags!!! They were all fabulous and soooo tempting.

The Managing Director of XES, Mr Simpson Wong said that at XES, their objective is to ensure that everyone can be stylish and sexy with their footwear, and XES primary focus is to deliver shoes using the best materials and the most exquisite designs that will flatter the foot, no matter who wears it...

There is never a dull moment when attending an XES event... and there was even a few pampering sessions happening... like a free hand massage from the Sompoton Spa, and a free make over by the very talented students of Sense & Style Beauty Academy, under the watchful eye of their Senior Makeup Tutor..

The gorgeous and very friendly XES Brand Ambassador, Miss Mico Pun putting on the last finishing touch of her makeup... Doesn't she look simply amazing??!!!

Mico and the other gorgeous models /goddesses looked so amazing I wanted to look half as gorgeous if it was possible, and thanks to Michelle Koh here, one of the makeup students, I was transformed.

See, Michelle here is really a genius, I look quite pretty, I think, and though when I asked her to braid a bit of my hair,( and was getting a little annoyed she did not understand how I wanted it done) I really did not expect such a fabulous result!! And I really loved it!!!

Taa daa... all ready to face the world with my lovely make up, hair do and XES shoes....thank you so much to the lovely Michelle from Sense & Style Beauty Academy for indulging me and making me look so much better then I did...

And the opening gambit performance began with a rousing dance from Fitness First Malaysia and a seductive dance from Mico!!! Everyone on the floor was definitely mesmerized by her graceful movements .

And the moment we were long awaiting for came...in the form of an amazing fashion show that blew our minds...

Anyway, for this XES Signature's 'Tales of Olympus' 2015 collection, XES gave the world's most ancient forms of foot wear a modern makeover...

Considering that sandals are the prominent footwear in ancient Greece, XES created various modern sandals interlaced with delicate straps crossing the toes and wrapping around the ankles, lovingly made with natural materials that will age beautifully and which will encourage women to wrap themselves up in the beauty and simplicity of Grecian fashion...

Mr Simpson Wong said that if we delved deep into Greek mythology, great ancient heroes have since let their names to a far more modern style of footwear, thus XES gained the inspiration to emulate the gracefulness of the ancient fashion...

The 'Tales of Olympus' 2015 collection launched today showcased 12 design groups with exciting names as Tales of Heart, Tales of Music, Tales of Enchantment, Tales of Colour, etc.......

In this lovely collection, we viewed casual, feminine and dressy range for almost any event, function, day or night.....

The handbags in this gorgeous collection were also exquisitely eye catching!!!

XES had also designed a wide collection of handbags suited for the fashion conscious women as well as those that celebrates the laid back ease of the day, relishing the courageous spirit and/or just enjoy the unhurried pace of embracing the little things in life...

Additionally, 'Tales of Olympus' launch also saw the unveiling of the new XES Mascot in conjunction with XES celebrating its 13th anniversary!!

And all the girls (and some guys) went a little crazy when hot and hunky Malaysia Male Top Supermodel Wilson Tan emerged with some of XES new range of men's footwear as well....

When all was said and done, the hunks and beauties from Fitness First entertained us with another dance performance....

Guests present had a lot of fun trying their hand out on trying to lace up a shoe in less then 15 seconds, archery, as well as an instagram selfie contest with the new XES mascot....
