Citarasa Ibunda Buffet Ramadan at Caprilicious@ Capri by Fraser

This is the first time I have been to Capri by Fraser, thanks to an invitation by Destination Malaysia Magazine by TM Info-Media.... 

For those who are ignorant about this just as I was , Capri by Fraser Kuala Lumpur is a new hotel residence for today's 'always on' lifestyle, situated at the Bangsar South City, right next to Bangsar Nexus, and I really like the hotel... it is really different from other hotels in a whole new way by offering studios for your staycation, whether for work or play, and every studio or apartment has a lot of personal touches unlike regular hotels... Meaning you can find some picture frames, novels, hour glass, cook books, even toys and so on arranged artfully in the residences....

    

Anyway, I was there at the Caprilicious at Capri by Fraser Kuala Lumpur (mmm... a little bit of a mouthful... hehehe)to try out their Citarasa Ibunda theme for the coming Ramadan month. 

Citarasa Ibunda in case you do not know it, translates to be 'mother's choice' and this theme has been selected for this year's break fast here. The chef is taking this opportunity to  rekindle some treasured  memories of mother's cooking with all you diners out there...

The ambience in the coffeehouse is one of simplicity but homey and warm, diners will be lulled by soft melodious tunes. Besides that,  being away from the hustle and bustle of the city traffic should be able to infused guests with the much more relaxed feeling, so they can end their day long fasting with family or friends with some peace and tranquility

Prepare to take your tastebuds on a culinary journey with  over 70 tempting dishes served daily with rotation basis on the hot main dishes which will consist of Nasi Beriyani, Laksa Pahang, Gulai Daging Kawah, Ayam Rendang Minang, Grilled Minute Steak, Mee Reubus, Kabing Kuzi, Ipoh Hor Fun, Bubur Lambuk and Kambing Bhamia.

I guarantee that you will definitely be spoiled for choice like I myself was... with other amazing dishes (my personal selection) of Ayam Masak Kicap, Kam Heong Lala, Kari Kambing Berkentang, Ketam Masam Manis, Roasted Chicken with Mushroom Sauce, Sambal  Sotong and those lovely Deep Fried Squid Rings...

Do not forget to try the Lemang and Ketupat Palas with the Kuah Kacang from the Satay stall or just the Ayam or Daging Serunging (meat floss). I, however, chose to enjoy the Lemang and Ketupat Palas with the Kari Kambing Berkentang.. and it was sheer bliss!!!! 

I really think this is a place you really should check out as I am truly  impressed by the quality of food here and cannot have enough of it , it was just unfortunate my stomach was not any bigger.... huhuhuh...... and like I mention above... the dishes I recommend are some of the dishes I really, really, really like....

There is  also generous servings of assorted Sambal ( sambal belacan, cincaluk, budu, sambal nenas, sambal mangga muda, sambal tempeh ikan bilis and sambal tempoyak) , assorted Keropok/ crackers (keropok udang, keropok ikan, keropok lekor, keropok sayur , keropok brinjal) , assorted Ulam, an assortment of salted fish /Ikan Masin, Acar and Kerabu...

Citarasa Ibunda is also showcasing hot live stations outside the Caprilicious Coffee House where you can watch chefs and sous chefs hard at work grilling  fishes wrapped in banana leaves, the satay and carving out parts from the Kambing Panggang aka Roast Lamb. 

The lamb (Kambing Panggang) is really a must try!! I personally vouch for it... Make sure you get the sides as well - the potatoes, carrots etc.. plus the sauce....

Before you call it a night and throw your napkin down, all this delicious food will not be complete without a round to the desserts table where succulent fruits, prettily coloured traditional kueh and yummy cakes, puddings awaits.... not to forget the table where the refreshing Ais Kacang and Cendol awaits you to seal the sweet deal....
