Food Review: Bubbling Prosperity Steamboat at La Maison

Yours truly was at La Maison , Silka Maytower, Kuala Lumpur yesterday to enjoy some Bubbling Prosperity Steamboat there. 

It was my first time at the Silka Maytower and I was surprised to know that the Silka chain of hotels are actually under the Dorsett group.

There are three brands under the Dorsett Hospitality International umbrella ….the upscale and midscale Dorsett Hotels & Resorts and d.Collection comprising a range of charismatic boutique hotels; and the value-led Silka Hotels; the group currently owns over 30 hotels in China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia; including ten more scheduled to open within the next two years in China, Hong Kong, United Kingdom and Malaysia.

Ok, back to the food, there were four different sauces accompanying the Bubbling Prosperity Steamboat. They had the Chilli sauce, Sweet Sauce, Sambal Belacan and Peanut Sauce (from top left , clockwise)

Executive Chef, Chef Fozi, came out to say hi to us as well as we were getting ready to tuck into our bountiful dinner.

Our dinner came out in two platters, the meat and seafood platter, as you can see here....

...and the vegetable and noodle platter here....

The soup came in two popular flavours, Tom Yam and Chicken Broth. The Tom Yam did seem a little sweet when I first tasted it but after the second mouth, it was just perfect with the right amount of spiciness and a hint of sourness. Definitely very flavorful as it also was with the Chicken Broth.

And seriously, at the price they are charging of just RM23++ per person, it is a real value for money to be taking your own sweet time dining in lovely ambience with your family and friends enjoying this yummy Steamboat.
