My little girl and I arrived at the Gardens by the Bay via the MRT at Bayfront, so we walked past the Dragonfly lake which is hard to miss considering the huge steel sculpture of the dragonfly there.
I am told that if you have ample time, you can also walk along the boardwalk to discover the many birds and insects that have made this area their home.
However, my little girl and I were hard pressed for time and wanted to visit the Flower Dome and also the Super trees and it was already 7 pm in the evening, when we got there...
We past by the Chinese gardens , resplendent with the strange rock formations and interesting plants and trees and Indian gardens with some elephant sculptures etc, while heading towards to Flower Dome.
Both my little girl and I went to the Flower Dome before heading to the Super Tree Grove.
To read more about the flower dome, read HERE as this post is more about the Super Trees. Anyway event though this was the second time I was here at the Super Trees Grove, I was still amazed and mesmerized by the majestical steel trees.
If you are not afraid of heights or find yourself adventurous, try going up onto the OCBC Skyway! The walkway is suspended and bounces a bit but the views are well worth it! You can stay up there as long as you want and access is by a lift up one of the Super Tree trunks.
I am told that if you would like to dine or have a nice cup of tea, the middle Super Tree has a restaurant called Indochine at the top- it's a minimum spend of $10 to get up there which covers the cost of a soft drink. They are supposedly famed for their amazing unobstructed views of the Singapore skyline including the Singapore Flyer.

But since I brought my little girl and we were on a tight budget, we skipped that.
If you are heading there in the day, you really should bring and wear some sunblock, and bring a water bottle as it can be pretty humid, like Malaysia Singapore is quite hot . You can purchase water there as well or fill up your empty bottle at any of the drinking water stations. Do not smoke or throw any rubbish anywhere other then the trash cans provided or you can be fined...

There is no doubting the amazing presence of the steel-framed ‘tree’ plantation, that towers over the Gardens by the Bay with 12 of the large metal structures in the central grove and half a dozen others placed in other parts of the garden.
Over 200 difference species of plants and flowers cover the exterior of these tall upright gardens .
Be sure not to miss the twice a night gardens’ light and music show ( the first being at 7:45pm and a repeat again at 8:45pm), there these amazing iron trees will sparkle and light up, and making you feel like you are in an amazing modern fairytale.
For the Christmas season like when I was here, the music was all Christmassy and with the luminaries around, it was surely a fascinating sight...
And naturally, the bridge that adjoin the Gardens by the Bay to Marina Bay Sands area is also a lovely photography spot for you to snap pictures of the Super Trees, the Singapore Wheel and the lovely and fascinating Marina Bay Sands building...
My DSLR is out of order as I had some fungus in the lens thus, I am unable to use it. So my pictures are of a lower definition since I was only using my compact Olympus SZ-14 digital camera.
Anyway, more information that could be handy if you are headed here....
