Kuala Lumpur plays host to Asia Pacific’s first-of-its-kind interactive,
edutainment dinosaur exhibition
Aspiring and novice paleontologists
from all ages and all walks of life can experience a time warp to the
Mesozoic Era at the Dinoscovery by Dinosaurs Live! at Discoveria, Avenue
K which had been open and on going since 21st March 2014.
Follow me as I bring you on a short tour....
It is being held in a sprawling 13,000 square foot exhibition space right here in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.
Dinoscovery by Dinosaurs Live! invites visitors to travel back in time and uncover the wonders of hands-on learning through more than 20 experiential and highly interactive educational activities while offering a sensory feast of endless fun for the whole family.
The
‘Dinoscovery by Dinosaurs Live’ is the first of its kind in Asia Pacific and it
promises a fun, stimulating educational experience for both domestic and
international visitors alike.
Visitors are equipped with a paleontologist map and a RFID
band which will guide them to exciting discoveries. Upon completion of each
activity, visitors will collect stickers which need to be stuck on to the map
accordingly to enable them to
redeem a Junior or Expert Paleontologist certificate
from the Dinoscovery Captain at the end of the tour.
‘Dinoscovery by Dinosaurs Live!’ is designed to provide a highly exhilarating experience
whereby visitors are able to see larger-than-life dinosaurs move and hear them
roar in their habitat. Apart from that, the exhibition also provides visitors
the chance to watch a short dinosaur documentary in 3D cinema.

and engaging activities include the opportunity to participate in some exciting "adventures" like racing a Theropod...
...checking out what the T -Rex eats...
... what the Corythosaurus eats.....
..checking out the x ray of a Diplodocus...
....riding a T-Rex.....
..help to save the dinosaurs by shooting pests with a paint ball gun...
...getting up close and posing with a prehistoric bird’s nest...
...getting your hands dirty by excavating for fossils and so much more interesting activities to keep the kids attention arrested and occupied....
The exhibition
also allows for the visitors to learn about the evolution of dinosaurs through interactive
kiosks and by comparing and analyzing present-day animals such as chickens and
elephants with dinosaurs as such the Theropod and Sauropod.
Visitors may also enjoy delectable
fusion food while quenching their thirsts with a variety of unique mocktails
and freshly brewed coffee at the pretty Discoveria Cafeteria at the end of the
exhibition.
For your information, Dinoscovery by Dinosaurs Live! is supported by Malaysia Major Events, a division of
Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau, an agency under Malaysia’s
Ministry of Tourism and Culture.
Tickets for
children aged 17 years and below are priced at RM35 for Malaysians and RM50 for
non-Malaysians while tickets for adults are priced at RM25 for Malaysians and
RM40 for non-Malaysians.
Opening hours are 10am to 7pm on weekdays and 10am to
8pm on weekends including school and public holidays with last admission at 7pm.
