AirAsia Flight QZ8501 found?!

About 40 bodies have been recovered from the sea in the search for missing AirAsia Flight QZ8501.

The bodies were spotted along with debris floating in the Java Sea off the Indonesian part of Borneo, in one of the search zones for the plane.

The Airbus A320-200, with 162 people on board from Surabaya in Indonesia to Singapore, disappeared on Sunday.

Malaysian school term begins on 12th January 2015

Deputy Prime Minister and Education Minister Muhyiddin Yassin says the Education ministry will delay the school opening for 2015  a week because of the flood disaster.

The new school term for Kedah, Kelantan, Terengganu and Johor will open on Sunday, 11 Jan, 2015 while the new school term for rest of the nation will begin on Monday 12 January 2015.

Chinese Drama: The Virtuous Queen of Han

I am also currently watching the Virtuous Queen of Han. This is on Astro Quan JIa ch 308, but I had it recorded on PVR so it has been running for quite a while now and is nearing the end. I just started on it and found it really good...  

This amazing  historical drama is about the life of Han Dynasty empress Wei Zifu, the empress consort with the second-longest reign in Chinese history.

Schoolmates Reunion at Johnny Rockets Avenue K

They are always there to support you, to fight with, to play with during recess time, to share thoughts with, steal homework from or bitch about when in school. They are also there to laugh at you, laugh with you, annoy you and also be there for you whenever you needed them, They are your school mates or class mates. 

In my case, they have also been friends with me for nearly 25 years now. These girls in the picture with me are my class mates and school mates. We fought with each other, laugh at each other , annoyed each other, talked about the teachers, boys and so on... but the best of it is we have been each others pillars of support in school one way or another.

So a couple of days ago I was having a busy day and was going out again for the evening for a Christmas party, leaving my husband and little girl at home. Hubby insisted he wanted to stay home with kiddo, so I decided to get something for their dinner.

Being a fan of Chinese Drama Series, this one pique my interest when I saw the sneak preview . It is currently airing on 8TV but is already halfway . I had it recorded on my PVR and am just watching the first 10 episodes and I love it loads....

The series began on the 8th of December and is airing on 8TV at 3 pm every day from Mondays to Fridays.

Synopsis:
Love on the Prairie or In Love with Power is set during the reign of Hong Taiji, the founder of Qing dynasty. He formed military alliances by marrying the daughters of the powerful or wealthy clans. My little girl and I were  at the S.E.A Aquarium in Sentosa recently during our trip in Singapore as I wanted her to experience one of the world's largest aquarium. 

The S.E.A Aquarium used to be the world's largest aquarium,and contains a total of 45,000,000 litres of water for more than 100,000 marine animals of over 800 species. The aquarium comprises 10 zones with 49 habitats.

Oh gosh, what a heading... it is NOT my dear HUSBAND... (or at least not up until now, and hopefully not ever...) but it is a story of many women out there.

Ok, there are so many romantic stories of husbands and wives getting married and having a family etc, and sometimes along the way, the wife quits her job and just stay at home to manage the kids.



Guess what ladies? It is in my opinion, a BIG and BAD mistake. I am not trying to burst all the honeymoon bubbles or any such thing and you may like to condemn me say I am jealous or whatever... but think about it carefully.. and you will know why.

Cost of living has risen so much over the years and even for a husband earning about RM10k a month, which I have personally witnessed, maintaining a family with that amount is just about barely enough.

My little girl, hubby and I popped into IKEA a couple of days ago to check out the latest furniture and well, also enjoy the IKEA food.... Like I mention before, hubby has made some plans to move somewhere else and it will be our own place, and IKEA is just about the perfect place to check out how to furnish your home the way you want , even with a very small space.

Chinatown is definitely one of the must-visit cultural enclaves for visitors who are visiting Singapore.

I love heading there whenever I find myself in Singapore to go in search for low priced and very affordable souvenirs for myself, my friends and family.

It is an amazing plethora of bustling, colourful mix of old and new, from family-run goldsmiths and medicine halls, to stores selling fabrics and Chinese kopi tiams or restaurants.

Isn't it always wonderful when your child does something good for you or for the family or for his/her friends? I always love it when I see my little one doing something good for others, and even feeding the stray cats that come by the house..

Lately, she has also taken it upon herself to apply my night cream on my face for me, and even tuck me in bed when I feel tired and go to sleep earlier then her. My heart melts everytime I think of that. And so isn't it a wonder that she can wrap me around her fingers most of the time....

While passing by busy Orchard Road admiring the Christmas decorations, yours truly and her little girl came across a small crowd that gathered somewhere outside Wisma Atria. 

Being a kay poh chee or Miss Busybody, curiosity got the better of me and I excused myself and half pushed my way through to a small opening I could find in the crowd to be mind boggled at the sight of two little girls sinuously bending unnaturally in all directions.

My little girl and I arrived at the Gardens by the Bay via the MRT at Bayfront, so we walked past the Dragonfly lake which is hard to miss considering the huge steel sculpture of the dragonfly there. 

I am told that if you have ample time, you can also walk along the boardwalk to discover the many birds and insects that have made this area their home. 

Christmas at part of Orchard Road....

Despite the crowd which reminds me of shopping districts of Tokyo, I always think going to Orchard Road during the Christmas season is a treat for all. I love festive seasons and it is pretty much well known that Orchard Road lights up most prettily during Christmas.

While you cannot see any snow glistening or sleigh bells ringing in sunny Singapore during Christmas,  the main shopping street of Orchard Road is decked up in it's best to create an enchanting wonderland.

Great hair starts with Aveda

I was at the Aveda Experience Centre at the Pavilion not too long ago. OK, I have a little longer then shoulder lenght hair, but because of me being a vainpot and liking to colour my hair etc, I have problematic hair. I have oily scalp that flakes from time to time, my hair is very damaged and dry, and I suspect I have thinning hair as well from the stress I undergo .
