I grew up on Sesame Street and my daughters are also BIG fans and they grew up on watching Sesame Street on videos and TV as far as I can remember. Why, because everyone who watches Sesame Street would know that it is a great edutainment programme for the kids. The kids learn a LOT of great things and knowledge from Mathematics to English, Science and so much more!!!

The Sesame Street Live tour, a multi-million dollar Broadway-style musical production all the way from the United States is here at the Resorts World Genting now. The “Sesame Street Live - Elmo Makes Music” is happening at the Genting International Showroom right up to 3 January 2015 promises an edutainment fun time for the entire family.

The finest Malaysian Favourite Set menu which consists of soups, appetisers, main dishes and also the chef's signature dishes will be introduced in this new menu beginning the 1st of January 2015.

Onitsuka Tiger very recently opened its second store in Malaysia at Sunway Pyramid. The new store is a total of 1,650 square feet and is all ready to meet the demands of Onitsuka Tiger Fans in Malaysia.

Jamie Oliver in Singapore...the signboard drew my interested eyes. Then I realized it was his restaurant in Singapore.... Jamie's Italian at Vivocity.

However yours truly did not get to try it out for two reasons. 

1. It is a little costly to have a meal there  (well, at least when you are travelling on a shoe string budget like me and is carefully counting pennies and conversion), but if you are earning Singapore dollars, or US Dollars or Euros , it is pretty reasonable to eat here....

2. ....and it was closed when I passed by....huhuhu

So it happens, and sadly, all good things must come to an end. Woke up to the last day on board the ship to yet another breathtaking sunrise as usual.  Woke my daughter up and we went to have our breakfast at  Deck 12 buffet line. This time I made the decision to enjoy the sea breeze from the back of the ship.

Trick Eye Museum Singapore

This is one of those moments my youngest daughter is bigger then me... hehehe...

Ok.. When I was in Singapore for one day, my little girl and I headed to Resort World Sentosa to check out the Trick Eye Museum.

Entrance to the Trick Eye Museum was definitely not cheap as it cost $25 (Singapore Dollars) for an adult and $20 (Singapore Dollars) for a kid or even senior citizen.

The Museum is located between the USS and the SEA Aquarium. You need to walk towards the back a little from the block where you see Slappy Cakes , the Malaysian Food Street and  Insadong Korea Town, which is a Korean market-place concept offering a variety of authentic Korean F&B specialties, street food and hand made Korean trinkets, cosmetics and accessories.

It is accessible from the Sentosa Boardwalk.

It is opened from 10am to 9pm from Mondays to Sundays.

My UBER experience

Yours truly have heard so much about Uber but never quite got around trying it until yesterday. 

Yesterday, yours truly  was at an event in KL until about 9.00pm...

If you are used to trying to hail a cab, you know the problems you could face...

a) the cab would either shake their head and tell you they are not headed that area.
b)the cab driver would probably name you a ridiculous price.
c)it would take a while to hail down a cab that actually is willing to go your way for normal fare.
d) there are certain weirdos taxi drivers who might try to comment on your dressing or try to flirt with you or condemn you and so on...
e) the cab is stinky

Being a Penangite , it was somewhat thrilling when you catch a different view of your hometown for once.. from the sea and early in the morning. I opened the door to the balcony upon waking up about 6.30 am and that was the view I saw... Penang in the horizon from the balcony of my cabin with an amazing sun rise....

Continuing on to the 2nd day.....

We woke up at 6 ish just to see the sky lightening and went up to Deck 11 where the swimming pool is to see the sunrise… Since my little girl was hungry like a horse, we went to have our breakfast there at Deck 12 at the Bolero Buffet, with the continental buffet breakfast, which was just a small buffet but we got to watch the sunrise as well.

What goes on behind the creation of ChiChi & ChaCha

So yours truly here and her daughter was invited to an exclusive studio tour to experience the revolutionary world of ChiChi &  ChaCha yesterday at the Big Fish Media in Damansara Damai.

For those of you who do not yet know it, gosh, where have you been... ChiChi & ChaCha is the first ever Malay edutainment TV programme that combines 3D animation and live-action in Malaysia that is set to revolutionize the edutainment industry.  It is really good.. and I really find it both cute and interesting myself and my little girl absolutely loves it never mind she is older then the targeted age group.

I have wanted to go on a cruise ever since forever, and finally my dream is now a reality despite some hiccups here and there and troubles and kinks to be ironed out. Finally it was the day I got to really step foot on a passenger cruise ship. I had only stepped foot in battle ships and library ships before this... LOL

Traveling by Aeroline executive coach took only 5 hours to arrive in Singapore for my trip there, inclusive of 2 toilet breaks, one somewhere in Melaka and the other at Gelang Patah.  Breakfast was served on board the coach, but somehow it was way below the normal standard. This breakfast consisted of fried rice with scrambled egg, fried popiah and chicken drummet. Hmmm.. hardly a nice combo. I watched the Hunger Games and also Despicable me 2 on board on the pretty awesome entertainment system, while little girl watched Frozen (yet again) as well as played some games.

Me and a couple of blogger pals were shopping around Fahrenheit88 when we chanced upon Book XCess!!!  Now one of my blogger friends, Ellie  was an avid book reader, like yours truly here and we were very excited. And of course, why not!!! 

At Book XCess, you find lots of great deals for 1/3 of the price you probably have to pay in normal book stores.... Isn't that a blessing especially when it comes to those of us who belong in the lower middle income or lower income category who have to count every penny we have and barely have much savings in the bank...

A total of 725 children break the Malaysia Book of Records during World Children’s Day Celebration 

Yours truly and her family here were blessed to be among the few who were invited to witness Wall’s Paddle Pop and LEGOLAND® Malaysia Resort new record (Malaysia Book of Records) for “The Biggest Painting Assembled by Children”. In conjunction with World Children’s Day, Paddle Pop and LEGOLAND® Malaysia Resort invited 725 children from various orphanages and kindergartens in Johor as well as children guests from LEGOLAND® Malaysia Resort to paint their pledge to have fun as kids. All individual handprinted tiles from the children were gathered to break the record for the largest assembled painting measuring 12.27 metres by 7.53 metres (40.26 feet by 24.7 feet). This broke the previous record of 9.75 metres by 5.48 metres (32 feet by 18 feet).

The excitement that turned to stress

As some of you here might now I recently won a stay on the Costa Victoria from the MATTA fair/Explore Malaysiaku competition.

I had been ecstatic and delirious with happiness but now, closer to the date I am to go for my cruise, within these few days, I am feeling very stressed.

Why? It is because the free cruise, I thought is not exactly free after all.  And there are so many hidden and side cost I am sooo feeling pressured.

Food review: Mali's Corner Taman Bunga Raya

Have you ever came to this place before? This is the original Mali's corner in Taman Bunga Raya (near the TAR college) before they opened another one at the Platinum Victory shoplots along Jalan Danau Kota.

They only serve two dishes here. Nasi Lemak or Char Koay Teow but believe me.. there is often a crowd there ...  because despite being a road side stall, the dishes are THAT GOOD!!!

Book review: The Magic School Bus Presents Sea Creatures

A classroom taught by Ms. Valerie Frizzle is always fun and exciting. The colorful teacher owns a Magic School Bus which looks like an ordinary, rather beat-up school bus but which can transform into different things like a spaceship, a battery, a blimp, a submarine or even an alligator! "Mummy got this story book for me to read from Scholastic and I really like it.

The book was colourful and very educational.

Through the book, I learn a lot about sea creatures or things that live in the sea.

The story started with Ms Frizzle the teacher of the Magic School Bus bringing the kids and me to the beach. We learn about seaweed, seals, and red crabs..

Then we "went" into the ocean to meet and learn about crustaceans, blue whales, planktons and jellyfish. We also learn the amazing facts of how deep the ocean is!!!

So hubby, little daughter and me were at Wangsa Walk and hubby wanted some coffee. So we headed to Pastryville to get some coffee and cakes . I have done an informal review of Pastryville in Subang Parade before this...so if you look it up, you probably can find it somewhere in this blog.

Where to find cheap and fresh flowers....

Flowers, beautiful colourful flowers, roses, lilies, orchids, chrysanthemums, carnations, baby breath, etc...etc... in an assortment of colours. Most women I know loves flowers, even my little girl. I remember the times when she was a toddler and how much pleasure she would derive getting a rose or a hibiscus from her dad or from me...Even up to today, a fallen on the ground frangipangi flower can bring smiles to her face.
