To go or not to go... to go or not to go, that was the question that played on in my mind.... I was curious about how these theme parks celebrate Halloween but I was petrified of ghosts and things that go bump in the night..
Heaven knows I was excited and nervous when Rane, my fellow blogger pal was doing a giveaway/contest on her blog and she said I was one of the lucky winners.
Upon arrival there, I dropped my namecard at the media registration table and I was pleasantly surprised when they told me I could still join the media group.
This is the entrance... Captain Quack is still there but so are a host of other spooky characters and the pumpkins
We gathered here at the stage area and was treated to a scarily cool performance and intro by Mr Chaos , the not so handsome monster.... ok.. he looks kinda scary here and not so handsome, but I can assure you without make up, he is very handsome and with a babe of a girlfriend - sorry girls!!!!
The monsters filed in and started a dance, but just then the skies decided to add to the suspense and it started pouring, and that certainly made everyone present cringe and ran helter skelter for cover.
Fortunately, the rain only lasted about 15 minutes and the weather cleared again and we could take some pictures with the monsters, ghouls and zombies
Introducing the gorgeous vampire.....
More of the photos we manage to take during the photo opportunity period as we get to see all the monsters, ghouls and zombies before they went off to their haunting grounds....
OK, so the Night of Frights 2: Festival of Fear has officially begun. And to all horror fans out there, this IS the place to be seen and to exercise your lungs. It will definitely set your heart pounding in fear and anticipation... It is both exciting and terrifying.
We were all urged to go exploring.. but it was kinda freaky and scary as almost every corner you'd bump into a monster, ghost, ghoul or zombie....
You will definitely not be alone here in the theme park .. there will be something / someone stalking you, chasing you or waiting to pop out to "surprise" or actually more like shock the living daylights out of you.
Some of the scare zones includes Dead End- The Abandoned Theme Park, Escape from Pudu, Carnival of Freaks, Fun Fear, Cursed Cove, All Hallows Cemetery, Shanghai Street and Lynton V. Harris' Scream Park featuring it's own Rumah Hantu, Pontianak Theatre of Fear, Zombie Apocalypse and Horrorwood Studios.
Sunway Lagoon is excited that Nights of Fright 2 has returned and the park will be opened on exclusive nights during this annual event for everyone to celebrate the fun and experience spince chilling fear. It will be a totally different experience visiting the theme park at night. However , be prepared to the shocked , horrified and excited by 25 thrilling attractions including rides, mazes and stage performances that might just make you scream...
Yours truly encounted lots of ghosts and monsters... some were very blood thirsty and out for blood....
.... while others were quite scary but sweet....
Sunway Lagoon is set to be the epicenter for all horror fans and has been fitted with special effects, theatrical lighting to set the mood.
Mr Chaos, the main character, set to create Chaos for everyone for the evening...
This is definitely one of the most scariest zombie , hands down!!!!
Would you like to have your fortune told.....????
Something spooky this way comes......
So yours truly wanted to go to Scream Park but by the time I got there, there was a huge crowd and the line was long, so I decided to go of exploring .... and encountered this not very charming guy... heheheh,,,
".... oooohhh... if you'd please excuse me, I got somewhere to go..... okbai....." (*runs away)
...... ok... what have we here... I always wanted to visit China, so this is pretty interesting....
They said there will be Chinese Vampires from the East appearing at Shanghai Street..let's see....
Ooohh... a decapitated terracotta warrior... looks like a great start...
"Excuse me, miss... can you show me the way.... ahh.. sorry... forget it.. never mind.... "(*quickly moves on)
This is fun...There is some Chinese Vampire lessons on how to jump like a vampire being conducted... "Can I join????...."
Upon exiting the Shanghai Street....I walked back towards where I came from when I happen to meet..... "Oh Hi...can you tell me how to... oh gasp.... never mind... "(*quickly backs away)
... and almost bump into a girl... "sorry miss...." gasp.... (* runs away)
"Excuse me lady, you really have to come down here... there is something freaky happening here at Sunway Lagoon...."
Yours truly decided to take a risk and went for the Escape from Pudu maze...
Hi dude.... ok.. never mind...sorry I bothered you...
This ghost or monster is seriously mental......
And.... here we are...
Peekabooo....... not very charming guy pops up while we were lining up to enter the Pudu prison....
The mist is thick in the prison as we - the new prisoners are unceremoniously ordered into the jail... and there is a dead man on the gurney in the corner..... but..... wait...
The jail (maze) is freaking scary with zombie prisoners rattling on the bars and popping out from the walls ... and the lights makes me disorientated and finding the way out is quite a task... especially with your fellow new prisoners screaming into your ears in almost every corner...
... finally got out of there in one piece.... pheeewww.... and not losing any limbs, except maybe some nerves.
And as I was pretty exhausted for the day, slightly drenched, spooked and had a long way to go before I get home (from Sunway to Gombak), I decided to make a move...
If I have the opportunity, I might just be back again with a friend or my older daughter.
So, get dressed in your spookiest outfits (but please note: no masks or theatrical make up is allowed on event nights) and be present at the Nights of Fright 2 at only RM48 per person. Daytime park guests who wish to "Feel the Fear" on the same evening as their visit can do so at a special rate of just RM30...
The event is only for above 12 year olds.... Sorry kids...
