Following the first and second selection camps held in Sabah and Sarawak, the 1MCC-Astro Kem Bola programme is now expanding its footprint to Peninsular Malaysia, particularly in Perak, Pahang, Negeri Sembilan and Selangor. The upcoming selection camps are scheduled to be held in Ipoh, Perak at Padang Ipoh on Saturday, 13 September and Sunday, 14 September 2014.
Young Malaysian boys and girls between 10 and 12 years old are encouraged to register online at www.astrokasih.org/kembola to secure the spot for their preferred session.
Online registration for the remaining four venues is now open while the registration for the Perak selection camp will be closed on Monday, 8 September 2014.
Walk-in registrations at the selection camp venues are also welcome; however the space is limited on a first come first serve basis. It is compulsory to bring along a photocopy of MyKad or birth certificate for registration.
From the selection camp, 64 of the best participants will be selected for Advance Training Camp that is scheduled to be held in Kuala Lumpur. During this stage, participants will undergo intensive football training that focus on football fundamental skills, strategy play as well as supplementary activities that aims to instill team work and positive values among the participants.
Upon completion of the Advance Training Camp, a total of 32 boys and girls will be selected for the Overseas Training Programme where they will have the opportunity to be exposed to academy level coaching and competitive play with their peers through a series of friendly matches overseas.

For the selection camp, station-based try out modules are designed to test the participants’ basic fundamental skills for football such as passing, dribbling and shooting.
This year, we have instilled new elements in relation to testing the player's individual attacking and defending ability. We are excited to see a pool of potential young footballers here today. We hope this programme will continue to empower and encourage young Malaysian football talents to improve further in their passion for football.”
