All-you-can-eat buffets are an awesome concept. You just have to pay a fixed amount and almost everything in the restaurant is yours to sample.
Pak John Steamboat restaurant at the lower ground floor of eCurve is running on this concept.
Pak John Steamboat & BBQ can easily accommodate up to 300 people in their spacious 4.6K sqft restaurant. They also have a VIP room, where customers can have their privacy while entertaining business colleagues or have private functions.
To me, Steamboat and BBQ are a very healthy way to eat as it contains less oil.

BBQ all you want on the teppanyaki stove or drop all your favorite food into soup,it is all up to you here at Pak John's!
Pak John Steamboat & BBQ serves beautiful steamboat and BBQ food all day long and for Muslim customers, it is HALAL
For this Ramadan month,Pak John came up with a Ramadan promotion where you only have to pay RM39++ for a steamboat and BBQ buffet!
Steamboat, as it is popularly known in Malaysia is also known as hotpot in other parts of the world, consists of various raw meat, fish, selection of fishballs, vegetables, noodles, tofu, seafood and dumplings, which are dipped into a shared pot of flavored soup using chopsticks. Once the ingredients are cooked , you can fish the, out from the pot using chopsticks or a strainer and enjoy.
Here, as you can see, there are a huge selection of whatever you might like to put inside your steamboat.
Pak John also offers the fussy gourmand a selection of smoked abalone slices, Australian beef slices, New Zealand lamb slices as well as smoked duck breasts slices.. all which you should try!!!
As for the choice of soup, for this Ramadan, Pak John Steamboat & BBQ offers 2 new soup flavors for steamboat, which are beef bone pepper soup and prawn soup.
The other regular 4 soup flavors that are readily available are chicken soup, tomyam soup, miso soup and curry soup.
I had the tom yam soup as I like it spicy with a sour kick. But I manage to try the taste of the prawn soup which was very nice as well.
There is vegetable tempura for veggie lovers and coke chicken, chicken seasoned with Coca-Cola. You really have to try it. Not many people know you can make a great tasting chicken dish with Coca-Cola!!!
They also serve other dishes like glutinous rice with a sambal prawn filling., beef and chicken rendang as well as some tomato fried rice.
For dim sum lovers, they have a pretty interesting selection of dim sum here as well. Some which are exactly like the ones you have before, while some are pretty inventive.
And of course, the selection of sauces and condiments to go with your lovely meal. For the hungry ones, there is a huge selection of noodles of all kinds that you can add on into your steamboat.
The drinks bar. There is a pretty good selection of drinks here as well from Honey Green Tea, Orange Juice, Mango Juice, Ice Lemon Tea and so on.
Don't forget to try an ice cream "potong" , traditional Malaysian type of ice cream in Red Bean, Green Bean with Durian, Sweet Corn and Durian flavors.
There are also some cut fruits in the refrigerator and pudding. Or you can opt for the soft serve ice cream in Vanilla, Chocolate or both flavors mixed. This one is very popular with the kids who take great delight in pressing out the ice cream.
Other dessert or treats Pak John Steamboat & BBQ has to offer are corn in the cup and waffles too.
Some of the traditional "kueh" available. I had just got to go with the greens as they were my favorites.
If you were to ask my what I enjoyed most, I would have to say the steamboat , of course, in either Tom Yam or Prawn soup, it is truly amazing. Then you have to try to Coke chicken, the rendang, the dimsum, and the Ice Cream potong.... truly a gastronomic experience....

With all that has been said and tasted,it doesn't take much to realise that Pak John Steamboat & BBQ is indeed " The Best Steamboat Buffet In Town." And it is deserving of that title.
Check this place out if you, like me, enjoy a great steamboat & BBQ meal.
The promotion is currently ongoing until the 29th of July 2014, so do check it out soon!!!!
