I am somewhat a little dense. In my entire 37 years of existence, I have never stepped foot in Langkawi until this!!!
Flight tickets… we got a great deal on Firefly and so are flying there via Firefly, however, Firefly Airlines definitely disappoint my husband, daughter and me this trip. Our original timing was all cut short. Our return flight was cut short by 3 hours as they cancelled the oroginal booking and brought forth our flight from 6pm to 3pm. Then on the departure day our flight was postponed from 9am to 11am and then again to 12.15pm. That was pretty annoying.
Anyway, we got to Langkawi where my husband rented a car and the car was waiting for us at the airport. We drove to our hotel, the very luxurious The Danna.
Our bed in our suite. We got the Duchess suite worth RM5, 000 per night!!! And practically the very best room with the best views…
From our balcony on the front…the glorious swimming pool and the beach…
From the side balcony, a view of the Perdana Quay…
Our tub…. rub-a-dub-dub……
The toilet and shower and his/her sinks…
My little girl enjoying herself in the jacuzzi on the side balcony. It was the highlight of her trip here.. getting to jump into the jacuzzi at any time and turning it on.
Yours truly…
The jacuzzi with my little girl in it. It was slightly scary as only a glass separated the jacuzzi from down below and we were on the top floor (5th floor)
Oh.. in case you all were wondering why I was staying in such an expensive place, it was because I got it for free.. I won it as part of my prize in the NSTP Valentine’s Day contest… else chances would be very slim of me ever having such a luxurious stay in a 5 grand a night suite.
Embarking on my first Langkawi adventure in 2013, the journey began with flight mishaps but led to the luxurious The Danna hotel, courtesy of a contest win - a glimpse into a memorable and unexpected experience.
